Nope he will just do what Mo does and let them do all the work. I'm not sure about that. When they put Bert back on that line after a few games on the 3rd line that combo of Flip-Mule-Bert clicked a lot more than with Hudler on that line.
-
Hell if Tatar is playing 3rd line minutes lets bring him up. I would rather put up with his rookie mistakes and lower cap hit than seeing Hudler doing nothing with his big cap hit.
-
For simple redirection he might be able to do it. Once it turns into a nasty battle or a fight for a lose puck he will get steamrolled because he does not have the strength to do it. Hmmm... that might work in the Wings advantage though as that could draw extra penalties. Babs, tell Hudler to dress up for battle next game and try him out as a human pinata.

I'm surprised Kenny and the gang hasn't said anything if that is what is going on. I thought the plan was for those guys to get 20+ minutes each night...are they getting like 12 minutes?
-
So what's the deal with Fraser? I don't follow the Griffins.
-
Bert is mighty strong with that hand eh
-
$114 for a replica jersey isn't bad. I'm sure I can dig a little more and get one for a bit cheaper.
-
I liked the CBJ 3rd jersey... I might even pick one up myself. Jimmy had a good game. Z and D need to finish more often. Hudler still sucks even with a point tonight.
-
Such for threads that have eva in it EDIT: I think I was one who thought Hudler could add depth. But after watching his play yeah... he adds another cap hit and that's about it. I want Wild's John Madden on this team.
-
If Hudler is in the rotation now what will happen when Drapers gets healthy? I know he will sit mostly as well but a veteran like that would get a few games in to get evaluated, I would think. I think it is clear that Hudler is pretty much useless if the only thing he can add to the club he isn't doing, scoring. At this point I would try to trade Hudler for a low draft pick and save his cap space for the trade dead line.
-
I wonder if the cameras following Ovie around are getting to him. He is doing fine on the helpers side but not at the level of his usual goal scoring numbers.
-
After a certain amount of time they should allow people in the lower bowl to move closer if they want.
-
How much time did he get in the 3rd period in the Calgary game? I didn't notice him at all but on one PP where he skated and I read his number real quick. EDIT: Found it 2:43 TOI in the 3rd.

:hysterical:

The ref lost sight of the puck and blew the whistle before the puck crossed, no goal. Play is dead when he decided to blow the whistle also he has like 1 sec of intent timing, considering how they called May's goal last year inconsistency makes it a controversy.
-
Fans blame refs for blown game.... film at 11. Why is this such a big deal? If this was reverse we would be bitching up a storm as well.
-
I thought they weren't suppose to play the replays until after a decision has been made on the big screens?
-
I wonder if the Islanders would want him in exchange for future considerations. The quicker we get rid of him the more money we save come trade deadline. Oliers have no use for Dustin Penner and maybe we can work his cap hit work come trade deadline.
-
I fully expect the next game the Wings play to get a ton of penalties against them.
-
I'm sure drumnj's chat is interesting right now

Line juggling should not be that big of an issue. Scotty use to do it all the time during games, people just have to want to play within the system they are coached to do.
-
Yep, Stuart tripped up Jimmy.
-
Lidstrom looked tired out there. Also is everyone's arms heavy tonight? Not much zip on shoots.
-
If they said those are the lines for tonight during the pregame, I so called this in last games thread. But I would expect Z and D to get double shifted.
-
You are right they do need to play with a wee bit more urgency and I think Babs needs to challenge these guys. Tell them flat out he wants them to lead us to victory come next game. Double shift them individually with other lines? /shrugs Also to dumb down their puck possession a bit and crash the net more. At times it seems like they wait and wait and wait playing merry-go-round with the puck on the outside just a little bit longer than needed. I'm sure Babs has an idea to get these guys going. He isn't the Wings coach for nothing.
