Two games for a gesture!!! This league is funny as within the few games played so far this year there has been some questionable hits around the league but no one is looking at them. I guess they are too worried about s*** like this.

I honestly think if they had a decent winger on that line it would of done more damage. Towes and Hossa were just beasts out there and the way Hossa was back checking was just WOW. I wonder if the ice was bad out there today? Passing wasn't the best from both teams overall, some lines were clicking but overall both teams just looked odd today. As for how badly Chi gutted their roster they were still able to hang with us today for the most part. Them being the more physical of the two IMO helped out in that area.

Personally I say American out of the two but the best is Zorba's on Junction and Michigan.

I honestly don't expect Miller or Eaves to get into the double digits of goals. If we remain healthy they are not going to play as many minutes as they got last year.

That would be interesting to see actually. He did manage to hit 52G basically by himself and then 46 . With Backstrom his average is high 50s possible 60s if he managed to play all of last year... that could be from Backstrom's play (more then likely) or Ovie is getting better with a little more experience and strength. I guess the only way we could see is if they pulled Backstrom off his line and let Ovie try and do everything himself.

I do not agree with the Capitals taking the East. I know defense is not the biggest thing in playoffs now but you cannot hope that every game will be a run and gun game. Unless their stars start back checking a little they won't go far again IMO.

A few things they got wrong: Lidstrom is 40 Ovie is at 1.4 granted with fewer games but they did not even mention a requirement for games played. They fixed another thing that someone else caught. Kovalchuk's first details at #13 read that he was the only person with a streak of 5 40+ goal seasons. Well Ovie was at that mark as well and even better. Grrr.... this is the kind of crap that pisses me off. A "respectable" journalist site should at least make sure their information is correct before posting. It's like internet articles do not have to be scanned first because they can edit it on the fly. /rant

I wonder if would be willing to move at this point of his career? It's one thing to be claimed to play for a contender but play for a team that's still rebuilding is another thing. I wonder if anyone that's thinking of picking him up will call him first. Kind of a "hey would you be cool moving here" before they actually pick him. I'm not saying anyone is actually interested in Maltby but it would nice a common courtesy thing at this point.

If he does buy it I hope the initial results are better then what happened with the Tigers. And I can't wait to see the arguments of who will pay for it.
