That would of been like Yzerman or Domi getting kicked for doing the belt thing. In a way I can understand for not wanting players to do that sort of taunting but to suspend someone for it, ridiculous. I would love to hear Buttman's reason of not looking into the knee hit. Hell even the Pens coach said that stuff like that should not be in the game so you know it had to be somewhat obvious. Maybe lack of video replay? Ooh that's right Franzen wasn't injured so no need for suspension, keep doing it until someone gets hurt then respond.

Who is gonna pay for that project? A $4B dollar project is something that I don't think NY can help with since they are supposedly billions in deficit. Or Mr. Buttman that the team has sucked for years and is not really worth the price of admission.

I blame the owners first and way more then Bettman, but Buttman needs to grow a pair as well. Ex: The owners wanted a cap system so Buttman did what they wanted and stood strong the second go around. Then owners wanted to find ways to abuse the CBA they just signed, have their cake and eat it too scenario IMO. Buttman needed to stand up to those long term contracts before it got to the point it did. I'm surprised a team of highly paid lawyers couldn't see that loop hole. But he just acts way too late when the obvious happens then proceeds to act like a tough guy.

Some of those examples they use as legal hits or illegal icing contact I disagree with. That Pronger hit seemed illegal and the first icing contact example they showed seemed fine to me. It looked like Marleau was gonna get there first and the LA guy had every right to take him out of the play. They last part sucks and takes out most of the good trash talking.
