IMO it would be bad to sign Neimi to a long double digit contract like that guy suggested. If they do I would really be shocked.

I should of word it better. The NHL made a big fuse over a player who had no contract but filed for arbitration. In their eyes it was like he had a contract sense you have to play for what they decide. Huet already has a contract...so yeah no KHL for him.

Who would be their goalie? Just like the whole Hudler can he or can't he KHL drama last year. No way that someone who already has a contract would be allowed to play in the KHL.

When you lose a prospect, that has potential like he does, for nothing that is a hard pill to swallow for any team. All that time wasted for nothing not even another pick.

I think Holland told him the "sky is the limit" line just to give him some confidence. Some prospects might need to be a little babied in that way. It could also just have to do with the Wings cap situation and looking for more depth on defense.

Did you all listen to the radio interview? At the start he makes it clear the Wings really didn't push for his services, they asked but other then that he knew they did not want him. Also the way he sounds in the interview is a respectable tone. George Malik just twisted the interesting words and used them against Lebda. I am not a fan of Lebda in any way (I called Toronto suckers for paying him that much) but lets bash him for telling the truth. There was no room for him and he wanted to play more. He got way more then Detroit would ever give him so I cannot blame him for going to Toronto.

If Getzlaf played the way he did against us in the playoffs two years ago all the time then yes. Wasn't he hurt or had the flu, what ever it was dude was a beast. None of the Wings could move him.

I do not see Miller or Eaves going at all. It's not like Kenny to sign and trade a player.
