    Robert Lang to Phoenix

I know Fleury wants to be a Calgary Flame but I mean come on, if Bob can get a contract with Phoenix I am sure Theo could of got a few million.

    Theo Fleury Released by Calgary

Calgary should of kept him. Its is always nice to have a hungry determined player on your team. He could of been their motivation piece for them.

Tatar signed to 3-year entry deal

That is pretty sweet that the Wings can find talented players later on in the drafts. The only concern I have is if we keep on finding players and develop them we are going to have a hell of a time keeping our home grown talent. A concern that might be but I guess a good one if that's our biggest issue lol.

    Williams and Newbury

Two way contracts mean that there is a difference in pay depending where you play.

    Jason Williams

Not to crap the thread, but this is a forum for debate and opinions, and my opinion is Williams is a downgrade. He has not chipped in come playoff time Sammy did. That's a huge difference for a team that looks to win it every year.

Heatley traded to Sharks for Michalek, Cheecho, 2nd Round Pick

I say he hits 48 goals since he is going into a system with a little more D responsibilities. As for the trade itself it is hard to say who won. Sends did add more depth but they could of gotten more. SJ got a pure goal scorer but nothing that really solves their issues. Even trade I think.
  12. Maybe but at only 5'8 he is small and more then likley wont grown any

    Biggest winners/losers in this offseason?

I would not say we are winners maybe in the middle. We lost a good playoff performer in Sammy and got Williams. Thats not a win.

    Hudler Still Going to KHL

I wonder if they planned this out from the get go? So If Hudler does get any better then he comes back to the Wings at a discount. What a deal!!

    Wings sign Todd Bertuzzi

how much would we be over the cap if this does take affect?

    Marleau loses Sharks captaincy

they were not even a great team back then..they failed to make the playoffs for a couple years. I also thought the owners where always cheap.

Time to MAN UP: Williams or Samuelsson?

Sammy....i think is better in his own end than Williams. Also he seemed to chip in a few playoff goals when needed.

Baisaille SHOULD be an NHL owner

Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria etc....its all just one big ass city. You can cross a street and be in a different town then take a step to the left and be in another town. I do hope they stay in Phoenix as I need to see my Red Wings once in a while since I live in Flagstaff, AZ now.

    Afinogenov?

Pass. Only two seasons was he ever near a point per game pace. So saying he was a point per game guy while in Buffalo is not true. I can see this board tear him apart with his shooting and missing just like Sammy was. Also at this point in his career I don't see him improving that much more or any at all.

Red Wings look toward the post-Chris Osgood era

I kind of agree with him. He could of been a little sharper during the finales.
  24. dragonballgtz

    Jason Williams

Isnt he the same as Sammy but even less physical? PP point man who would shoot it right into the gut of the goalie.
