Overall, an OK period, with the obvious exception of that goal. It seems that Datsyuk is doing 2 people's jobs, offensive and defensive. I know he's one of the best defensive forwards in the league, if not THE best, but I would love to see more offensive pressure from him. A little less Datsyukian Dekes and more sniper shots would be great.

So bummed to hear this Malts was as much a part of the Wings identity as anyone. He will be missed. Thanks for the years of service in the trenches, Malts!

They both spent some time in the UHL a few years back (Big Mac played for the Muskegon Fury and Ivanas played for the Rockford Ice Hogs). They had a few meetings back then. Big Mac is one of the nicest dudes off the ice. I met him a few times back when I was a season ticket holder and he always had time for the fans. Glad to see him sticking around in the NHL!

If anything, the good old multi-repeat commercials are the most annoying. f*** Sam Bernstein, the cross-eyed kid, his shyster son, and the dame. They are way more offensive than anything in/on the rink.
