Cheli is one of my all time favs but I think that he truly is only a 3rd pair d-man anymore. Somepleyers lose a step and they are done...he still has enough left to play in the league but looks to only be a 10 minute plyare at best anymore. oh well,off to the hall of fame for him. -

Let the Habs have their players...it is the centennial season, they have a very storied history...blah blah blah. That being said. I always love the original six match-ups. SOOOOOOOOOOOO... All you kooks need to get onthe stick and vote for the Wings 6 to all start. It would be an original six game. Wouldn't that be awesome? Watching Crosby and his horse teeth riding the pine.

What is this all aboot? He has potential HOF numbers, rings and from what I heard about last summer...he can drink his own body weight in beer in less than 3 hours. But seriously...the defense in front of him has been haphazard at time so far. I think it has more to do with a bit of hangover and at times boredom. This team can be so good at times that they go to sleep. ( ie...Pens game ) They will be ok, but Babs needs to lay the smack down here and there (healthy scratches work sometimes) -
On halloween I met Aaron in Milwaukee at the Hilton. I was in town on business and did not realize GR was in town. I think he was surprised that someone in Milwaukee recognized him. He chatted with me for about 10 minutes, real nice guy and seemed very appreciative of me as a fan. I am sure he will be back with the big club soon.

We shouldn't be surprised...his kid is part of their management. I think that Scotty is a legend and will be missed but Holland has been a big part of not only the player decisions but the decisions on who to bring in to work with the talent. Babcock consulted Bowman quite a bit but still made the game to game strategy moves. Let's be real, Holland and the coaching staff along with the scouts the Wings have are the difference. Losing Scotty hurts but at this point his involvement is not crucial...let him go work with his kid, I look atthe time he spent with the Wings as one of the best eras in frnachise history, but the lineup and youngsters we have now are going to make the upcoming years VERY special. Buckle up! -

This list is almost dead on....I might give Lidstrom the edge over Stevie- the multiple Norris trophies and the 4th cup being the decider. Stevie will always be my favorite but for the purposes of the thread..Nick gets the nod. ** also, Vladdy? If he hadn't gotten hurt...I would suggest that is where Bowman should be added.
