WTF? That is worse than listening to goats hump. Stoopid HNIC, what are they thinking? There was nothing wrong with the old song. It was a tradition. If your car is not broken you do not take it to the mechanic do you? ( unless it's a Ford which is gonna break soon anyway )

Hossa's agent is floored by his client's behaviour
Wingsfan1988 replied to crotty99's topic in General
I am stilll amazed Hossa is gonna play for the Wings. Yay! But I hope he stays healthy. -
I live in Pittsburgh...the talk around here is mixed...but to address the title of the thread. They are called "Yinzers" in Pittsburgh. Instead of saying "y'all" like they do in the south they say "Yinz" "Where yinz going" It sounds stupid but they wear that phrase like a badge of honor. But the reaction has been weird...the true black and gold goggle yinzers are saying, screw Hossa we never needed him. Which is crazy as he was their most solid playoff performer behind Fleury. Sure Malkin was good until he got blasted in the Philly series, Malone did well until Kronwall bashed his skull and Crosby was nice until Hank shut him down. BUt Hossa was there night in and night out..the stupid dump and hope we chase it down against the Wings possession game made it hard to see how good he did play. The other reaction has been to start blaming Therrien for being a dick that the players hate. The media here changes what they say dailly.

Satain to New Jersey would have been epic as well...

Who cares about the Pens signing? Satan- Better days are behind and he already lost to cartman and Kyle in the south park movie. Ruslan Fedotenko? Who? What? 3rd line who? They signed who, once the playoffs started he disappeared. He is soft like that Malkin toilet tissue.

My two cents...*** This will be good in that we know flip be here one more year..that being said...if he plays with Hossa and has a big year he could ask for big $$. We will know that by the trade deadline. If it looks like he will command a big deal then the Wings could trade him to fill any holes that arise during the season. This would also open the door to slide one of the young guys onto that line. I want Flip to stay but if he plays on the 2nd PP and 2nd line with Hossa the numbers could pile up....and so could the salary demand. Hopefully Kenny can sweet talk him before a hearing.

The Croatian Assassin? The Caucasian Sensation? Hoss the Boss? Up yers Cindy Crosby- oops White Dudes can skate? I suck at nicknames... Nevermind---how about seeing how he fits in first?

My two cents..not that anyone cares... Downey is rubbish, a curtain jerker at best. D-Mac has scored huge goals and has been a big part of the success that the Wings have had over the past decade...but he has seen his better days. I would like to see D-Mac get a deal and stay on the roster, even if he is a healthy scratch most nights. He brings something to the team that Downey could never match. Plus--- He needs the ching, he could have car washes in that small parking lot in front of the Joe before games, I would pay $10.00 for that.

Flip ain't going anywhere... I hope. There will be enough cheddar left for him, after next year Chelios and Draper or Maltby will probably be done...Meech, Quincy, Helm will all still be on their RFA deals meaing low numbers...Holland will only be challenged to keep the Mule and Zetterberg's contracts from being nutty. At that point you can let Hossa go, if the Wings win the cup again he will be gone to the highest bidder anyway.

ESPN's Scott Burnside's Instant Analysis
Wingsfan1988 replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
The Pens style was dump and !! Hope for the best which could easily not show how good Hossa is defensively. He was constantly trapped in offensive zone when the Wings moved the puck forward and then he would be scrambling to get back into the play. The funny thing is playing in the wings line-up I think his offensive abilities will shine...he might score 50+ goals. His presence will automatically help the second line and now we will have two power play units that will put fear into every opposing coaches nightmares. Go ahead Ruutu, Avery and Coery Perry..take a dumb slashing penalty....I dare ya!! -
The Pens will go back to stinking again. They already Lost Malone, Roberts, Hossa..and Orpik told them to go to hell as well. Holding onto to ruutu and Sydor aren't saving their ship. The Devils look good and the lightning are back in the mix in the east. The pens and their whining coach are done. Rumor has it that Therrien is the reason their players want out.

"Jesus....I like him, but he no help with curveball" -Pedro Cerrano Jesus probably stinks on the power paly as well, him being so forgiving on sins and breaking rules.

I live in Pittsburgh and have been a Wings fan since 1983 ( I was 8 yrs old then ). At that time i lived in North Carilina, it's a long story how I became a fan..but to make it relevant.. I have seen the Wings raise all 3 cups since 1997, at the Joe and on the road. Luckily I travle enough for work that I can use the frequent flyer miles to affod the travel and then somehow I get tickets. In each city there are jerks who give me crap and I typically just laugh it off or wait untilk after the game and give a little smirk when the Winged wheel rolls out on top. Here in Pittsburgh the fans are generally pretty good but the "yinzers" as they call them are pretty bad. I went to the Pre-Season game this year ( only time the Wings were here ) and a Pens fan told me that the Wings were an embarrassment because they never have their star player lead the league in scoring. He told me "if they are so good then why can't Lidstrom score like Crosby?" There is allot wrong with that question, allot wrong with the thought that this person, Mildly retarded ( I think ) equated a good team with the scoring title. Anyway, I am rambling. The main point is that there are idiots everywhere who will give you crap for not cheering for the home team..but in reality they are probably just crying out in jealousy. Wings jerseys are pretty cool.

I am driving in from Pittsburgh for the game...anyone going? Would be sweet to get some beers before the game.

Worst: Bertuzzi Trade, Oates Trade, Wendell Clark and letting McCarty and Lapointe go. Best: Shanny!!!!!! That deal put the icing on two CUP cakes. I think that Holland has done a stellar job but the biggest move sthe team has made have been in free agents and drafting great and virtually unknown talent. Kudos to Holland and their scouts.
