I am originally from NC, live in Pittsburgh, PA now. In 1982 I was in Second grade and saw hockey on TV. My dad being from Pittsburgh was a big hockey fan and decided to recruit me to the Penguins..but in NC the only jersey he could find was red and had a number 9 on the back. The next year he bought one of them "new fangled" satellite dishes..it didn't get any Pittsburgh stations but Detroit stations came in. The Wings had alos drafted a guy Named Steve who I quickly adopted as my hero...I also started playing hockey in Raleigh. That year we came to Pittsburgh a few timest o vivist and on Febrauary 15 that year I went to my first hockey game, Pens Vs Wings...Wings won 7-3. I was hooked. I have been a Wings fan for all but 6 years of my life...I stilll have the Howe jersey. I moved to Pitsburgh in 1991 when my dad got a job back here in Pittsburgh, I have been to over 100 games since then. Pittsburgh is only a 5 hour drive...I have been lucky enough to see them win all 3 cups in person, I was also there for Game 6 in 1997 when they took out the AVs...on of my fondest memeories. Kinda corny.

Agreed. I say Wings in 6 ( 1 ot win ) I think the difference in the series will be depth, the ducks have nothing past Pronger and Niedermeyer on D...they do not have enuff offense. I think games 1-4 will be low scroing and tight until Pronger and Niedermayere start to wear down after tthe Wings are able to roll 4 lines at them. They are averaging 30 and 29 mins each...that won't work against the Wings skill.

I do make nice ching (not 167k ) and would go... We could argue this all night, but my main thing is playoff tix costing $100.00 is nothing new...maybe we are all restless waiting for game 1.

I would love to have gotten them from a fan but I got burned doing that once. i just don't like people whining about prices...I live in Pittsburgh. To go see the Pens, the prices really stink compared to the JLA and Mellon Arena is a REAL OLD dump. I take every opportunity I can to see the Wings whether in Detroit or C-bus. Maybe if I lived in Detroit and could go all the time I would have a different opinion.

I a.m Cannot make game 1 though...gotta late meeting at work. But I can do Sunday, game 2. The drive sux but you gotta do what u gotta do. If i lived in Detroit I would probably spend it..but only for 2...my wife doesn't like going to the games but my little one loves going.

Ticketmaster says "no seats found, please search again" I am not driving 5 hours from Pittsburgh and getting a seat in 212 and one in 226..I would love to catch up, not livi ng in detroit and being able to go all the time makes me hate the whining...playoff tickets cost more because it's the playoffs!! I saw them win it in 1997-1998- and against the Canes...shelling out the cash is fine...just need two together.
