Well, it's gonna be interesting next year if Dom retires. I'd imagine that the Wings 1/2 will be Osgood/Howard, but it really leaves us nothing semi-reliable to call up in case of injury to one of those two or, god forbid, both. They're gonna have to either sign him and have him come over to play in GR next year or sign him, leave him in Sweden, and make a free agent pick up in the offseason. I'm of the opinion that they should sign Larsson and have him come over next year to get accustomed to the North American game.

Tough to tell with the team he's playing on. I mean, they got blown out 10-5 today and are sitting dead last in the OHL. I wish he'd gotten traded to see what he can do playing on a better team. Maybe he'll get a chance to play a few games on the mighty Griffins though.

3 SH goals and 1 assist in his last 2 games.....yeah, I'd agree that he's on fire. Plus, he drained the only goal in the shootout tonight.

I wish they'd include player's current contracts on there also.

Foote is just not that great anymore Stuart fills the role of a 4th D-man that we've been needing all year. Now, I'm as disappointed as you are that we didn't add any secondary scoring, but Holland did fill a needed hole. The only thing we can hope for is that our slumping secondary scoring comes out of its mass slump sometime soon.

I don't think it's possible for Pitt to resign Hossa this offseason. That would put them in a world of hurt with their younger players that are going to be asking for raises.

Kindl almost made the Wings last year, not this year. And this year, his numbers are terrible. He has one of the worst plus/minus ratings in the AHL. It might do him some good to see how he responds to more responsibility at the AHL level.

And what exactly would happen when a penalty carried over from regulation? What about a penalty occurring at the buzzer of regulation? Too much complexity. An easier fix is to lengthen the OT time to 10 mins. OT is simply too short; not that the penalties are too long.

Any comparison to Fleury is null. Jimmy's almost 24 guys. Fleury was thrown in when he was 19. Jimmy's not a friggen kid anymore, and needs to stop being looked at as one despite the baby face. He's only a month younger than Cam Ward.

He's faced the second most shots in the league and has over 100 mins less playing time and 3 starts fewer than the guy who's faced the most. So I don't know if I agree with that statement. He posted another shutout tonight, totaling 6 for the season (second in the league), bringing his sv% up to 91.85, and his GAA to a 2.32 (second in the league).

Looked small in net? I don't know what you guys were watching. Osgood looks small in net, Howard does not.

Performance deal wouldn't be allowed for him under CBA. He would have gotten more as UFA, imo.
