The ones you saw in any of those sites is FAN made photoshops of what people thought would look good with the original Reebok template. They are NOT indicative of anything. Jesus...do you think the Red Wings would release any lame photoshopped image like that to anyone? If they did, I would hope their design person was fired. The new Reebok jersey does allow for horizontal striping, but Reebok claims that teams that use it will not see the full benefit of the new design, that's it. The Wings biggest problem was their problem at the beginning of the year. They need more skilled wingers. Defense, when healthy, can remain the same as far as I'm concerned. The biggest thing that killed the Wings against the Ducks was a lack of a good 2nd line. Everytime that Lang line got paired up against the Perry/Getzlaf line they got into trouble and it eventually ended the season. They need to solidify 2 scoring lines before they can move that extra step forward. EDIT: Interesting post while I was typing my post. I agree!

I tend to agree. The bitchfest of the reffing is unwarranted. It's piss poor both ways...even to the point of giving the Wings a 5 on 3 on a terribly bad "tripping" call. The Wings simply didn't capitalize on their opportunities to seal the game. Credit to Giguere for keeping the Ducks in striking distance. The Wings didn't take advantage of simple plays they should have and could have made that would have put them in a better position today.

I completely disagree with your assessment of his movement. Part of being an incredible positional goalie is skating really hard. You have to skate much harder to keep yourself centered to the puck at all times. Giguere is a really hard, good skating goalie. That's what gives him his ability to seemingly always be in front of the puck. Some people may say it's a lazy style, but it's completely inaccurate. There's a reason there's very little flash in his saves.

Put a cast on it and throw him back in there. It's his left wrist isn't it? Who needs to use that?

The best thing about this series is that no one person or line stood out as THE dominating force. They never had to rely on just one person or line getting it done. It was a team effort through and through. More importantly, it was a team defensive effort through and through, and that's what gets it done in the playoffs. It's no time for MVP's and honorable mentions. There's still three more series to play, and each one is going to be more difficult than this.
