Found this one on iCalshare... http://www.icalshare.com/article.php?story=20071001204728202 Not perfect, but it will work with iCal.

Maybe this commercial would work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a-Dx5ciIdQ

If the NHL was smart, they would hire one of the head marketing guys(or gals) from NASCAR or the NFL and get them to actually market this game. Was last year the horrible marketing campaign with the hockey samurai warrior thing or was that the year before? Either way, ridiculous... ESPN did the best marketing of the NHL I can ever remember. Hilarious and also let us get to know some of the star players. The NFL doesn't need to be defended, they have a quality product that people love. They are number one for a reason.

I like the guy, but why give up the picks? Let him get a one year deal or some nonsense from the Panthers and look at him again when he goes UFA. I just don't see it as a priority... luxury? Maybe, but we need to hold onto the money we have for the deadline. Slim pickin's out there in UFA land right now boys.

Will you be investing in a braille keyboard? That would not be as much of a reach... Fixed.

That's rich... You been hittin' that whacky tabaccy have ya'? Feds may still have some talent... that's debatable, but the guy is not one fo the best two players in the game. Are you talking all time? Right now? In a parallel universe? In every case he is not top two. As always my opinion will be that he COULD HAVE BEEN one of the greatest of all time, but his giant ego and complaining kept him from that... not to mention leaving the Wings. You act like the Hall is a slam dunk... I wonder.
-
I really hate to do this... but Feds would never be considered along with Lindsay, Abel, etc. because of his tendency to not play all out all the time, not to mention the bitching and moaning. He was probably the most talented player in Detroit for a very long time, but he never was endeared the way most of those other players were. Vladdy worked hard and never took shifts off. Vladdy and Nick together for this long would have been amazing. I think we would have maybe won two or three more Cups with that combo. It's hard to even think about it. Vladdy will always be the "what if" for this team. We have never recovered fully.

Calder gets honorable mention... Good job Kenny! http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?p...reenshots070730

Burke is a tool... I really think the idea of the Bert of old is what myself and others had hoped for while he was in Detroit. Burke just wanted to stick it to us. Great job on that one... Bert will most likely be a fraction of whom he was with the Ducks too.
-
He'll more likely be interested in a RFA Goaltender next Summer...
-
Tie between #1 & #3... losing Cleary or Homer would have been disastrous for us.
-
I was just thinking of that... I love getting caught in the YouTube vortex and looking at all those fights and hits people have posted... great memories. I hope Drake gives us a few good hits to enjoy this year.

Malts will retire as a Wing... unless he decides to play too long.

That almost made me pee my pants...

I know, I know... it's Eklund, but would this guy even fit our team anymore? I would love for McCarty to be back in the organization, but as a player? Not sure... what do you guys think?
-
Nailed it... They are however turning out by the millions for some NCAA Women's Basketball, the WNBA and MLS. ESPN gives more coverage to those sports than the NHL. Oh and they just so happen to broadcast games from all of them (ABC/ESPN). ACCEPT THAT.

That I did not know... very sad. No matter where he ends up, I wish he could get his life together. He was a great team guy back in the day and I would love for him to get rid of those demons.

Mac is the type of guy that gets signed late in the Summer. So Kenny wasn't thinking of Mac as a top priority when July 1st hit, but as the Summer rolls on, he may be an option to round out the roster. Plus, it's not like we would be paying him big dollars... Where did I ever say to bring him back? He does have the heart... that is what makes me wonder and consider the possibility. Plus I want the guy to end his career here... sentimental, I know. Low-blow... but very true.

I watched a replay of the show today and there was no mention of the NHL in any of the categories besides Sid the Kid winning the Best Hockey Player and Wayne presenting. They didn't show a single clip of hockey in any of there montage highlights... they showed women's basketball (NCAA & WNBA), PGA (Golf) and Formula One Racing, but not a single clip of hockey. None. ESPN needs to get their heads out of their asses and give us a little NHL love. Fox Sports does need to challenge them somehow... that or we need to get TSN on DirecTV somehow. CORRECTION: There was a brief moment when they showed Scott Neidermayer lifting the Cup in the open... blink and you missed it.

The Dearborn location is the original (in Michigan). Dearborn has a nice Downtown atmosphere along there on Michigan Ave. Definitely a great place to catch a game and eat some good food. I think they have a balcony that is open during the Summer months too.

Good stuff! If only Bettman knew how to market this amazing game... we can only dream about it. Hockey is just one of those sports that once you have a real taste of it, you can't ever get it out of your system. Most of that has to do with the players. Having grown up watching Steve Yzerman made me a fan for life.

Like 'em... especially the dark one with the number on the front.

Stevie likes Big E (I think they're buddies) and has always wanted him to play with Detroit. Maybe this is the year... rather have Forsberg, but who knows what he's thinking.

He makes some pretty good points... and yes, I tend to agree. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=8613
