I think they only give one assist per goal in Russia so a pace near a point per game is good. Hopefully he can contribute here. I just thought of something: is this team not full of tragic events? Konstantinov, Bowman's Brother, Grigorenko's accident and now Fischer? Count your lucky stars.

Sure but Franzen was never drafted and was, what? 23 when they picked him? So Igor stays in Russia with some kind of contract until he is ready when (perhaps) he is Franzen's age. That is assuming he will make it.

Yup and The Habs drafted Doug Wickenheiser ahead of Denis Savard. I love GL as a prospect and can only wonder in four years who will be better -- Abdelkanner (sp) or him... My guess is you are correct and we will both be shaking our heads.

He is very quick but end to end not overly fast. He has moves though and good vision. Great start for him.

I am not counting on the guy getting here so if it happens great! He has lost a step and still is not 100% -- his accident may have caused him a career, but we should just wait and see. If he is indeed ready next fall they will have room for him. *Hoping for the best*
