Thanks for the linky 1914. This author has no clue what he is writing about (he's almost as bad as Kara Yorio) -- he finds a struggling team and creates some jibberish about some players. Mark my words, the minute Detroit drops four in a row the guy will feed on that and write how Lidstrom is finished, Datsyuk wants out and they want to shop Shanahan because he is UFA next summer. Eric Goddard is the Isles most popular player with many fans buying his jersey -- they'd be stupid to get rid of him.

Bell is in an identity crisis as a player but will end up making headlines with his tenacity (sp) by seasons end. Guys, don't forget that teams do use the media to send a message to players. Bell is not leaving Chicago. Man, there are some stupid rumors going around...

I was and am still baffled they signed Mowers -- there is nothing about him that stands out except mediocraty (sp). Bootland is a gamer and I think Babcock could get him to lay off the spazzing out too. He is a very good hitter on the forecheck and has upside skillwise. I say why not. Cleary is getting press and I don't understand -- sure he can spell on the PK but he looks like Paul Woods, a total waste of mobility. I'd replace Cleary with Bootland in a heartbeat and Mowers would be in Europe right now.

The Red Wings send out scouts to every city. Thats how they know what to look for in a game... There is no deal pending, nor would Detroit be looking for goaltending help.

+/- is not a primary concern. why not? espically for a d-man. That means he's on the ice when a goal is scored. I don't know about you but i prefer my d-men to keep the opposing team from scoring. Man, you're picky. Some people can never be pleased.... He's getting alot of minutes against top lines too -- he's learning to play, thats all. I don't care about plus minus -- you can score alot of points on the pp and few even up and be a minus pretty easily.

Two good prospects -- Kindl has a ton of potential and many NHL teams are already kicking themselves about McGrath who looks like a poor mans Yzerman. A second line (maybe 1 in time) center within a few years. Outside of rugged players I cannot complain about how the picks have gone (especially how late we have been picking).

Looks like a sewn on letter replica jersey that someone signed Datsyuk's name -- don't waste your money on that stuff as an investment -- won't appreciate. Most baseball cards post 1985 don't sell for what they"are worth". If you are a hard core collector fine but don't use memorabilia to fund your retirement. Enjoy the hobby if that is all it is and be wary of signed stuff on ebay -- there is a good chance it is not authentic. Hope I helped out.

That's good to hear. I've been saying since draft day that we have a good prospect here, and I'm sick of hearing people trash him because we didn't draft that Fenchy... whatever his name is. Abdelkader is a solid all-round player now, and I can see him being an effective power forward for us in the future. Good points -- also we can wait up to four years to sign him since he's in college -- we should know by that time if he can play for Detroit at some point. MSU is not a bad place to hone you skills.

Holland thinks Kopecki is the next Robert Lang -- keep his rights and send him home to grow up.

Not too sure if you can afford to leave him down or afford to bring him up -- maybe he could spark a third line. Seriously pucks are bouncing off Samuelson into the net -- he won't keep it up which may give Hudler a shot. I am still skeptical of Hudlers ability to handle NHL hockey with his small stature, nice start for him though.
