Rivers for Cooke? Sounds like a suggestion straight outta Toronto, only Toronto is not involved. I think Vancouver would at least want a NHL regular in exchange for Cooke. How about Johan?
-
Isn't Buffalo a close city to Toronto? Maybe he'll go to the Sabres...
-
My only problem with Jorgenson is that he is only 5'10 at best -- a gamer though. Big Snake may be a Kris King type player which is always nice to have. He looks like he could get alot bigger too. Sign him and let him develop for a season in a half with a few call ups...
-
Why in God's name would they sign him? Gotta be a hoax or just more drug induced garbage from Toronto -- I'd rather see a young guy like Ellis get a look than "Stumpy"...
-
Brashear or Stevenson will be waived -- the waiver wire is where Ken Holland stated he would find a tough guy... Hmmm...
-
He's got more moves than Ex Lax but like Todd says -- not fast and is still immature. He can pass well and has a nice high wrist shot. I'm not sure if he will make it -- reminds me of Dennis Holland (Ken's little brother) who led the Western Hockey League in scoring but had no wheels and ended with a short career in the minors.
-
Centers can play wing -- could Boston use another forward? Regardless, I think Samsonov is overrated... at least this rumor has some substance compared to those hilarious ones coming out of Toronto...
-
I just smoked crack and heard Toronto was offering Mats Sundin for Mark Mowers and the Leafs would pay Sundin's contract...
-
Almost as funny as Datsyuk for Belfore and Belak rumors... By the way I am dating Ashley Judd...
-
I'm with you! He'd also sell them alot of jerseys. He has a shot at getting a contract -- spend some time seasoning at GR, maybe a couple call ups during the season and a good shot at being on the team next season. He is a very strong guy and has good fighting skills -- will end up being built like Marty McSorley about 6'1' 230. He can also play a reguler shift.

Can I borrow your wife for one million? Cash? Geez, Alba's mom was born in Trenton and I met her Parents at Club Med Playa Blanca along with Dave Barr's sister in 1992 Barr's brother in law was on my street hockey team, we lost in the finals to some ringers from Quebec...
-
How many of these are we going to have... We have been talking about this nonsense since Friday...
-
Darko -- 12 points in two games back home in Serbia... He can't play...
-
Smyth, 2nd rd pick, 3rd rd pick and Laraque and you have Zetterberg. I'm loving draft choices as the best way to rebuild in the cap era -- we need to start hoarding them...
-
Handzus, Forsberg and Carter can play wing -- you don't need to limit the number of centers you have. Use the number of forwards as a guage, it will quell alot of speculation.
-
Dunno, sounds a bit like those Toronto "Zetterberg for rights to Daryl Sittler" rumors... NJ giving up way too much...
-
I had no interest -- a hockey fight has to have the furvor of the game, it has a lead up to the fight and a possible change in momentum after. Wasn't Sgroi in our camp a few years back? He can really fight. Link Gaetz was knocked out I read on another site and had to quit the tourney due to a concussion. If you want to read more visit www.hockey-fights.com (don't forget the hypen). Great fight site.

Datsyuk by a nose -- he has a couple 100 point seasons ahead of him and is deadly on breakaways (we have the shootout factor going). Tough question though. If it is just this season I'd choose Zata he'd benefit from a full season here more than Dats -- thats just this season.
-
Smyth is 29 years old and I like him but Zata has a ton of upside -- I'd need Laraque and a first rounder in additon of Smyth. I'll throw in Chelios and Bootland...
-
I liked him in Montreal, hated him in Colorado...

Trade your (just signed) second best defenseman for a fourth line journeyman? LOL... From economical point of view it could really help us - trading 36 years old Offensive Def. no need to mention that we alredy have the best one in Lidstrom and Kronwall who is going to be force + Delmore who could provide some offensive + we have like 7-8 ''D'' We could use that money on Datsyuk and Zetterberg (I hope that they are more important to this team than 36 yo Schneider...) Yes, I would trade 36 yo who is going to make $6.6M / next 2 years Please consider the logic of timing. If MS were signed a couple years back and his salary was not desirable than sure, shop -- but the organization just spent sick money on legal fees to retain the guy you suggest they trade (and that untradable salary) -- he is not a marquee player like Hossa who you have to sign to trade. Matt was UFA! If your IQ is above Curious George you don't have to figure this out... Sorry if I seem mean, I am not, but anybody who thinks a company will sign a man to a contract, then fire, trade or lay off that same guy who they had no obligation to in the first place is not reading into the big picture -- even if they get a lesser guy at less salary... He'd blow Vancouver's Cap anyway... Crickey...

They sure smoke alot of crack up in the great white north. He will not be traded.
-
Jimmy D., Brian Murray and Bowman -- I give Holland some credit for 01/02 but little before.

If we "unload" the just signed Schneider (which will not happen) and Lidstrom gets hurt who quarterbacks the powerplay? Kronwall? Chellie? Fischer? Rivers? Kyle Quinncey? C'mon. Redden is an excellent all around defenseman and would easily be our #2 blueliner -- I take that trade in a heartbeat. We need someone who can tow the line after Lidstrom fades more or leaves. We have no imminent help comming up besides Kronwall -- the rest need to develop.
