When your 2 on 1, your defender needs to grab the play without the puck so Howie can take the shooter or passer. By Lidstrom taking Doan on his eliminating about 85% possibility for a pass in which case Howard can be concentrated at 100% on the puck then rather having to think that he might end up passing. In the situation of yesterdays goal, Howard knew the pass was on the way but was hesitating couldn't make a strong stand. The passer saw Doan wide open, perfect pass perfect goal.

Montreal defense is terrible, I've watched all the games of Montreal and trust me they end up winning one game and losing a couple after. They will eventually collapse + how can a defense be great if they allow 47 shots on net.

Abs is a better upgrade then Williams 100%. We need him in the lineup specially against a big and fast team like Phoenix. To be honest with you guys I was really surprised with the speed and grinding style of hockey that Phoenix was playing yesterday night. They played harder then the Wings and won. Dats, Lids & Zetts we're very good, rest of the team looked like they we're a step slow.
