I don't think the Red Wings are physically tired to go all the way. I think it's more mentally, the way they play the fire they use to have is just not there. I think they need some new blood, some like Drake or Hossa that gave them the extra energy boost, that's all there missing. -
Howard has won 6/8 of his last games which is pretty decent. Tomorrow's game might just be the most important game in 2010.

That would be actually good if KHL had 1/4 of the talent of the NHL. NHL all stars are too good for them.

To be honnest I don't even thin about this. The transisition to the NHL is a major leap, look at Ericsson ... everyone had high hopes, easily a top 4 D. The way his playing right he can't even keep himself a spot on the team. My pick as a rookie that I think is going to have the best chance and great career in succeding consistently would be Thomas McCollum. Sorry about typos at work no time to re-read ) -
Lidstrom is a guaranteed lock, after Lids my nominees: Federov - Osgood Either then those two I think the only one that has a decent chance is Datsyuk. I just don't see anyone else being close enough, not even Zettz.

Osgood is probably the best backup goalie any team can have.

Yet again, Bettman fails. Salary cap is killing the sport, I say for whoever that can't keep up with the $$$ and don't make enough money to sign players they should sell there team or move it. A lot of teams don't even deserve to be in the NHL. The league needs to get rid of the salary cap + Buttman + 6-8 teams for the love of god it's so boring. I also think if they do cut 6-8 teams they can reduce the season by 10 - 14 games.

This team is tired, it doesn't seem to me they want to make a run to the cup. 3 seasons over 100 games, I think they deserve to rest this off season.

Chelios is done the only reason teams are keeping him around is for his leadership and experience for the kids to learn something.

Agreed with Egroen, Huds could of went to a rival but he decided to go to KHL and makes his money there. He will be back with Wings no doubt about it.

Oh I remember the times everyone hated Lilja ... Specially after he coughed up the puck to Selanee. After that year his got his mojo going.

Canadian fan here and I'd have Ovie on any team over Crosby any day of the week. I've never liked Crosby and never will like him.

IMO Rafalski did play good but not amazing, Miller made Ralf looked good on some situations.
