His old time to retire bud. (Replace ... Helm Adkel Eaves ... etc.) LEBDA MUST GO ... why? ... Do i really need to explain? (Replace with Kindl)

Since the day McCrimmon has joined the coaching staff this team hasn't ever looked itself. 7 out of 10 of his seasons his PK is ranked in the 20's. Also if you guys take a look even in Atlanta the first year the PK was ranked 8 and dropped in the 20's similar to the red wings scenario which we could see in the stats I've pulled up. What you guys think?

Players need to be re-signed : Lidstrom - May (Just like this season) - Lilja (If healthy) - Helm - Abdelkaber. Players that need to examined this year : Holmstrom - Bertuzzi - Williams. Players that musn't be resigned (100%) : Lebda - Maltby. Yes Holmstrom is benefiting to be on a line with Dats - and Zetts, I wouldn't mind having him in the lineup next season but let's go with 1 year contract with him from now on just in case. Lids needs to also be on a one year contract considering his age and unfortunately the past two seasons he seems to be a step down from 2-3 years ago. Bertuzzi and Williams need to be examined on how they play both offensive and defensively. Wouldn't mind keeping them as 3rd line - 4th line players but not both please. Maltby is too old and wasting a space on the roster. Lebda ... oh come on do I need to say. Yes it might be a big trade deadline this year but maybe the other way this time. I mean we've got a lot of players that we could shop. Trade Bertuzzi - Williams - Holmstrom etc... some players we could get rid of in there last years. Make it into a re building season. We won't win anything this year ... you've read it here first.

Sammy + Williams are two players I've never liked. Like the above poster posted Sammy is streaky and will eventually cool off. Why I don't like them ... well simply because they bring nothing to the table. The only thing Williams has an advantage of Sammy is his speed. Either then that Sammy > Williams.

All I know is that since 08 our defense has never been the same. Steve I agree It has been 87 games actually. The only difference last year comparing to this year is that our offense last year saved us in a lot of the games.

It looks like our defense has lost their touch. It needs to be re-tooled. People might argue it's goaltending / offense but it's the defense that needs to be fixed. You fix the defense and the offense will automatically fix up.

People should stop dwelling in the past. No one complained when the Wings won the cup on how it could of been or how it should of been. We are Wings fans and should be happy with any decisions this organization takes. Sure some stuff you could disagree and stuff but please no more dwelling in the past.

Goal tending is a major issue. We need to tune up the defense also.

I don't know, this year feels like a rebuilding / patching mode to me so my expectation weren't set to high from the beginning. I'll raise my expectation level all depending on the moves and the Lidstrom situation next year. For this year I do think we're a playoff team but nothing more probably win 1st round and get knocked off 2nd round. Now that's just my opinion and hopefully it could be a not so good opinion but will see what happens. IMO I really love Ozzie but I think this organization needs to change there style. Specially the ending days of Lidstrom are nearing I think we should use Lids $$$ to get an outstanding goalie or just hope McCollum pans out to be great by next year because I don't want to Ozzie back with the Wings unless it's a backup position. Also I want Maltby out of the team next year.

I think we should let Zetts get back on a line with Franzen and let Datsyuk deal with Bert.

Best goalie to pick for any fantasy would probably be Washington's low $$$ and has a good team in front of him.

Well he did only play 4 games and a total of 12 shots. Now you can't even count on those 12 shots cause we don't if there actually quality shots or not. Don't think he had to much ice time.
