IMO honnest opinion, I don't wish injuries to anyone but the injuries this year for the wings have all helped the players rest up a bit. Hossa / Datsyuk / Lidstrom / Holmstrom / Zettz / Lilja / Franzen can't remember if anyone else. All these players got like a week at least off then usual just so they could rest up.

Gainey himself needs to be fired so that team could get fixed up.

Yet again Holland is the best GM out there. He made the trade in JUNE without even losing any players / prospects / draft picks. When have you seen another GM do that and lose nothing?

Trade Flip, a prospect and our 3rd round pick for neil. Get it done, this might just the piece we're missing this year.

I'm really pissed off about these scalpers. It's been over a year I haven't been to a hockey game. I work my ass off, I have a lot of expenses I get to pay them all now I'm not very wealthy but I just don't got the money to pay 100$ - 150$ a ticket to watch a hockey game, not alone the beverages and the food inside. I hate scalpers and I have no respect for them. What there doing is screwing the fans for there own pocket. These scalpers don't know nothing about the sport except the dates that the team plays. There are tickets for like 25$ - 30$ ... I know it's not the best seats but that's my budget. I'm still a student on top of that and I got books and tuitions to pay. I can't even get those tickets due to this scalpers that are raising the price by 3 times what it's supposed to be. I want to take my GF to a game but come on imagine paying 90$ + 90$ +15$ + 15$ + 8$= 218$ for hockey game. Sorry but not worth it. If the tickets we're like 90 $ both I wouldn't mind but each 90 is screwing the fans. I'm sick of it, I love the game but don't get the oppurtinity to enjoy it live due to this scalpers. I think NHL should do something about (not only NHL every sport, MLB, NFL,NBA) these scalpers. * Can't buy it at the counter because the scalpers either reserved it or buy it before. Anyone else having this problem?

... Well it's not official. Someone on my msn that's supposably related to someone in the Wings organization has it in there nick: Hossa will sign by Wedsnesday. So I asked him and that's what he told me. Don't blast me people, I had never said it's official. I just said what I've heard just as the topic starter asked.

I heard Hossa is a done deal, agent and GM both waiting for Hossa's approval to sign the papers, there will be a press conference on wednesday if it's done. Apperantly Hossa will give a descision by 10 p.m. * Rumor * = Someone told me on my MSN apperantly related to someone with organization.

Who is the Red Wings that's not playing up to his level this year and that your either dissapointed or sad about it. I'd have to go with 1- Osgood ---> Sad about it not dissapointed due to the reason I still beleive he could gain his confidence and become like last year 2- Filppula ---> Dissapointed, I feel like he has lost his touch ... probably due to less ice time ... but if you want more ice time impress the coaches and his not doing that. 3- Cleary ---> He seems to be a bit better this past week but overall the season (since coming back from his injury last year), I feel like Cleary's just not the same. What about you guys. *P.S. No player battles / please just your opinions.

Which ever player claims that they don't want to get traded gets the chance to play with the Wings trust me he will waive the clause before the manager if asks him too.

San Jose fans ... Probably the only team in the NHL in which I find the fans classy and probably the only other team that I wouldn't mind them winning the cup.

His old, his not as good or effective as he used to be. It's no upgrade from what the Habs have. Bad trade / waste of cap, could of kept those draft pick, get someone effective on the offense to play with kovy

* This message is to all the Ozzie Lovers. WAKE UP, team success is more important then a player success and stats. FACE IT HIS NOT PLAYING GOOD THIS YEAR, SIMPLE AS THAT. Maybe next year he will be one of the tops again we don't know. It happens sometimes that a player has bad years but you've got to face it... Now I love ozzie and his my 2nd fav. goalie all time, but just because his my favorite goalie I'm not blinded and realize that this team would be better with conks as of right now. Stats speak itself, love it or hate it, those are the facts ... Conks > Osgood simple as that ... Like I had posted previously in another topic if a goalie can't save what the defense is not capable of stopping then he shouldn't be in net. If defense could of kept the games always under 2 goals since it' always defenses fault ... why would we even need a goalie ? Trade osgood and conks use there cap money for a defensemen ... since it's ALWAYS THE DEFENSES FAULT AND OSGOOD NEVER LETS ANY WEAK GOALS OR ANY GOALS THAT ARE HIS FAULT.

Since there are threads about Ozzie and Conks ... I made one for Howard so he doesn't feel left out. Nah I'm joking, what's the news on Howard? How has he been playing at GR (I don't really follow AHL). I thought there was this other goalie also in GR that's been playing lights out, is the swedish kid?
