I would do it even if Franzen and Hossa left Detroit. Flip brings nothing to this team, his small weak. Open up 3 million, even if Hossa and Franzen not there we could sign someone good.

Can we reconstructure a contract like they do in the NFL to lower the cap for the team, to help sign a player or two? Maybe extend it longer or so the average could hit lower?

The thing people don't realise also, is that last year Osgood was having a pretty good season also. It's not like he just went playoffs and boom he got hot. He was hot all year and drove the hot wave threw the playoffs. Now this year his nothing like last season his on a cold wave ... are you sure you want to leave your playoffs hopes to a goalie that hasn't been hot for the season and just hope he becomes hot in the remaining 20-22 games in the playoffs all of a sudden. Babcock knew Osgood was hot and gave the games to start in playoff. This year Osgood and Conklin remind me of last year of Hasek and Osgood just that in this year osgood = hasek of last year and conks = last year osgood but a little bit less.

If we don't re-sign, Hudler and Samuellson and of course depending on how he performs rest of season / playoffs and how much his demand is. I wouldn't want him tho. I mean back in the days when there was no cap, I use to say to myself that developping a goalie is way to hard, just sign a good goalie in his prime that would save you some problems for a while but now there's a cap ... I'd rather go with Howard next year. Come's cheaper and will finally get to see what his made of.

It's never his fault. Don't say defensmen didn't do there job bla bla bla. Well that's why there's the goalie. So he could stop what the defensmen can't. If the Defense could do everything, why we even dressing a goalie for? Osgood is responsible for all the goals he let in. Let's make this clear, I love Osood but I'm honnest guy and I don't let my favorite player get in the way of the truth. This year up to now HE SUCKS, HAS BEEN PLAYING TERRIBLE / IS PLAYING TERRIBLE ... don't know if he will play like this in the playoffs. Conklin is playing much better then he is now so I rather go with him. End of story

Why are people so pissed off about the suspension of Lidstrom and Dasyuk, people we're okay to see them rest for the week but now are all pissed because they got suspended for one game. Relax guys everyone in this situation is happy, Lidstrom and Dasyuk just got an extra days to rest. You think Holland and anyone else is not happy. They just talking the things they talking because they have to show that they care to the media but in reality there happy about it.

If you guys listened the press conference today, Holland hinted a couple of times there will be hard decisions to make. He knows / we know / the players know either Hossa or Franzen will go. Now Franzen and his agents is obvious he's more about the $$$. Hossa seems like he wants to be in a good team, always in the mix of winning cups and ect..., Franzen just won the cup he wants a big raise, his younger and money hungry. I like them both but if I we're to chose, the pick is prett obvious. I'd go with Hossa. Hossa is one of the premiere number one pure sniper (big fast) that you can't find it just sitting there. Franzen has been good for only 2 years now but should we be sold on him? I know he can get better too but I rather have hossa.

I think it would best for Kindl or Ericsson to get some time. It's harder for a defensemen to get used to the NHL then a forward. Get them some time it will do good for there grooming.
