I know that sammy would never be replaced by downey in the goal department ... but i rather have downey playing over sammy on a regular basis ... i never like sammy i would rather see hudler getting sammy's role ... and letting a energic guy like downey hit the ice over sammy playing

Downey ... is an enforcer his not being brought to be the next holmstrom or shanahan ... his only here to protect the starz from people like himself... If i think he will make the team ... yes he probably has a shot considering we have no enforcer @ all and also a way to train younger enforcers... and also to protect our stars... If i think he will be a regular starter ... i highly doubt it ... he will probably be switching up with drake considering drake is old and might need a couple of nights off ... Downey will be more effective in the playoffs ... we need him to get under the skin of other players ... Drake, Maltby, and downey lol wow ... alot of penalties for the other team ... Let's not forget ... cleary was a camp tryout also ... and he had a career year last year... You never know what can happen, different team , different styles different coaches can make a player improve or get worst ... anyways will see what happens What i want to happen ... ? Trade sammy sign sopel and downey and make them regulars ... then we have ourself a hard big dangerous grittier team Knowing holland ... sopel will stay bye bye downey

Kronwall ... ---> From what i've seen so far ... average defensemen Sometimes lays a big hit ... sometimes screws up in defensive zone sometimes makes good defensive plays = Danny Markov (they end up always getting injured) Kronwall pretty much reminds me of markov unless he improves his game this year wich i hope he does cause my expectations were high. Lebda ... is fast sometimes uses his small body doesn't get that injured... Kronwall > Lebda Let's not forget Kronwall most of the times plays against the better lines on the other team ... but im not too sold on him yet ... But I dont know why but i would actually prefer my lines on defense be like this Lidstrom Sopel Rafalski Kindl Chelios Lilja / Quincey Give the rookies some chance to improve ... and i would actually trade kronwall get a valuable forward sniper or a gritty player ...

Um ... average defense ??? Were worst then last year ... ??? We pretty much almost beat the ducks with no schneids and no kronwall ... i know we didnt but look Lidstrom alone makes all your defense very good allready Rafalski upgrade over schneids defensively and points wise ... rafalski on a defensive minded team ... had like what 55 points? so i pretty much think are defense is better defensively last year and the same as offensevelly

How come the prices went up ... Wasnt the new CBA suppose to make the nhl not be so expensive to go too ... so more fans can come ... I remember the first year after the lockout all tickets went down or free ticks were give out by some teams once in while ...

Anaheim team was based completly on offense and only 2 d-men and a goalie... he is 100% sure ... I know its off topic but everyone is talking about other stuff he said in the interview lol and I thought to bring it up When niedermayer leaves ... this team will fall even with Pronger Beauchemin Schneids Perry Getzlaf and Giguerre... When you lose a player like niedermayer ... theres no replacing him ... I'm not saying their not cup contenders ... just ... not as much of a threat as they use to be ...

Well the wilds for me are not a bad team ... yes they have good attendance ... but history/rivalry wise ... they dont excite me didnt dallas fail once ... ??? there were other teams too that failed but they still got teams back ... i cant remember wich ones were they but i think they were 2-3 wasnt ottawa one also (not sure, from what i can remember ... i might be wrong) And 1 more thing ... when i meant nhl would be better... i mean NHL would be better in my opinion for me if those things happened ... I'm not into alot of those expansions team that came in ... never been too much of fan of new teams that's why ... im not saying that its not all the right moves also ...

Um Quebec wasn't a failure ... they just had a dumb owner that was into $$$ sold it to someone that wanted to move the team ... winnipeg WAS a failure but why not give it another try if it don't work send it to ... basille let him take care of it ... We need 2 more canadian teams and less teams overall in this league

Nhl would be much better league if they took out the following teams : Phoenix, Colombus, Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Carolina... and put a team in Quebec and Winnipeg ... and stay with 26 teams (or we can also take out florida, and minnesota) and have a league with 24 teams ...

I was just thinking about it right now and I wanted to know if I'm the only one that thinks about it this way ... I love hockey my fav. sport ... but for some reason i enjoy watching NFL network over NHL Network ... NHL Network is plain boring ... they only show old games and they only show the past playoffs games over and over again ... NFL has like inside training camp ... total access (daily live news update around nfl) Nhl network ... i barely see the nhl on the fly program and its probably a repeat and really really boring ... Why dont they make it more interesting they dont even broadcast any live broadcast of players or coaches that do an announcement ... once in a full moon ... Am I the only one that thinks NFL Network is way better managed then the Nhl Network ??? NFL NETWORK > NHL NETWORK ... ???

Go habs ... montreal is not in a rebuilding mode now ... if they were they would trade away souray on the trade deadline ... instead they lost him for nothing ... yes they do have good rookies but why would they sign brisebois ... leadership ??? Experience ??? Isnt brisebois one of the most hated habs that left 2 years ago ??? Why would you bring him back ... yes he is cheap but he surely is not an upgrade ... I would rather leave him out and put one of my top defensmen rookies in the lineup and get him some time and experience ... if truly it is the rebuilding mode .... If i was GM of the Canadiens wich im not ... I would trade kovalev a pick for marleau then trade koivu and a pick and a prospect for vinny ... and then start to plug in the rookies and get some top free agents then i would have a contending team ... or else you guys are done for some long time ... having top prospects or not is not important ryder signed for one year and im pretty much sure that he wont return after next season ... The tax'es and the fans are just killing the team ... and gainey is just helping them... New Gm is in need in montreal You guys need a strong core to start off with wich you guys dont ... defensively you guys downgraded this year and offensively its the same as last ... goalie situation is still up in the airs ... Well last I heard the only interested team that I can remember was the Islanders and YES he is looking from the range of a long term contract 3.5-4.0 a year. Markov is worth (logicaly of course) 2.5 a year ... maxxxx 3.00-3.25 wich i would still think its too much for him
