Yup ... I also agree that Markov is more physical and more of a getting under the skin of the forwards type of defensemen, by re-signing markov ... our defense would get better then last year : Lidstrom Markov Kronwall Rafalski Chelios Lebda / Lilja and I hope hasek does re-sign cause if he doesnt our only other options are emery and lunqvist ... wich i wouldnt mind having either of those and we could use howard for trade

calder sucks lang sucks bertuzzi is just big the only thing we probably lost out of this are just 2 huge ass floaters that take extra space on the ice and dont let datsyuk and zettz enough space to do what they have to do and we lost a ''gritty'' player that showed no grit @ all ... so by the looks of it we got alot better

I agree ... that sharks and ducks got worst then last year... but we didnt get that much better ... yes we upgrade over schneids ... we lost bertuzzi lang and calder so that means for sure its an upgrade over last year lool ... so i think if we re-sign markov or 1 more physical defensemen top 4 we should be the best defensive team in the league ... dont you think?

and for people that think bertuzzi left now we cant beat teams like calgary and san jose or anaheim think again... we beat calgary and san jose ... without kronwall (top 4 defensmen) wich his probably our only defensemen that is not scared to go for a hit after markov ... and we almost beat anaheim without 2 of our top 4 defensemen ... bertuzzi didnt do s*** he was pretty much a floater ... anyways wasnt he the one that gave the puck away ... to anaheim or something like that happened ... better for us i hope we use the money else where ...

ALL I KNOW ... BERTUZZI AND SCHNEIDER MEAN SELANNE AND NIEDERMAYE ARE GONE ... THAT MEANS THEY DID NOT UPGRADE OR GET THE SAME TALENT ... last year's anaheim team is stronger faster better ... then the one their having this year ... bertuzzi is slow ... schneider is not that good in defensive zone ... I LOVED BERTUZZI ... BUT I ONLY LOVED HIS SIZE NOTHING ELSE ... anyways good for us ... we just got younger again better for us

... kenny re-sign markov ... so our defense can be really strong ... re-sign hasek and wait till trade deadline ... or sign souray for 1 or 2 years

The year zetterbers contract finishes ... lidstrom will retire ... after next season he will re-sign for 1 year 7 million ...

You know what i thought about ... I dont know if anyone heard the latest interview with Holland ... about how he wanted to sign bertuzzi ... etc... he mentionned that the main reason that we lost to the ducks was that our powerplay wasn't clicking ... we just couldn't put the final blow in the games ... yes I understand that schneider was out and he was a big help for us on the PP I do not disagree with that ... but alot of people on this forum want him back ... Sure... his good, I wouldnt mind him being here great player but i was wondering ... instead of bring schneider back ... why not go after Souray, his a powerplay monster and his BIG, and I do think we could get Souray for cheaper then schneider Re-signing Hasek, Bertuzzi, Markov Signing Souray Were getting better pretty much bigger, stronger Any Thoughts???
