I must agree, Hasek best years we're with Buffalo. Hasek didn't carry the 02 team like he did when he was with the sabres. About Yzerman ... come on this guy is one of the best to players in the NHL history & I see Federov as one of the top defensive highly offensive forwards in NHL history also. Federov > Datsyuk & Zetts Yzerman > Best player in the NHL if we don't only look at stats. (Sportsmanship, leadership, loyalty etc...) The guy changed his game style to suit the team so we can win cups.

IMO that's a real hard topic ... 97 vs 02 is very close IMO. I really wouldn't know who would actually win, all tho I could tell you one thing ... if there's one thing that would clearly make a difference ---> Hasek

Would much rather see: Hudler-Datsyuk-Filppula or Cleary Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary or Filppula Bertuzzi-Helm-Abdelkader Miller-Emmerton-Holmstrom

Unfortunately, I would rather have Howard in nets over Hasek (any time that Hasek was 45 years old and over). IMO, like I stated previously Ozzie should of been Howards backup. Ozzie > Ty Conklin!

Yzerman - Shanny - Hasek

I just don't understand why the NHL doesn't come out with a policy that back to back games would / should only be played @ home.

His not saying to play Conklin on the first night, his just saying that considering there's a six days rest period Howard at this point of his career should be able to handle a back to back game. Not only did we have a six day break we have 2 days off prior to the next game which is more then enough time for Howard to rest. IMO, it was a bad call from Babs unless he wants to lose on purpose so we can fly under the radar.

Lapierre IMO is the most annoying player in the league, considering all he does is YAP YAP YAP and barely drop the gloves. I'm surprised he actually dropped the gloves & it wasn't Abdelkader that took that off for him too.

Its between Quebec or Kansas, I dont see any other location for the Islanders. NHL will probably go 2 Kansas tho, but every Nhl fan knows its best for the league to go to Quebec.

Doesn't matter who's good or who's not, officiating/nhl decide who wins the cup. NHL = Just like every other Business, when it's your time you win.

To tell you the truth, I used to be more addicted. The more I watch hockey, the more I'm getting disgusted of the officiating. If they don't fix that aspect of the game they are going to lose a lot of fans.

Hasek did play for probably the best team that's been put together. We will never see a team with that much stacked talent specially now with the salary cap.

It's not amazing but it's not bad either. It's just okay.

1- Probably one of the least exciting free agent class I've seen in my life. ( Brad Richards is good but why would we want him when we have Datsyuk and Zetterberg that both provide the same game that Richards does / both can center line 1 and 2 / both are more productive then Richards. 2- White & Commodore additions are a good gritty addition to this team + White will help this defensive corp out better then most of you guys imagine. (Wisnieksi would of been a good addition but never for that amount the he got paid by Colombus. Either then him there's was no one that I really wanted in the FA). 3- Holland addressed the need of backup goalie / defense. 4- Offense is steady / I would of loved to see him grab Eric Cole and get rid of Hudler but I'm still satisfied with the team we have. 5- We didn't overspend + we have 6 million left in the bank for a trade or even next year FA class . 6- We got a bit younger. That's why I give him a B+

I'd love to see him try that move in NHL. LMFAO, he'd be crushed to the ice before his stick even goes threw his legs.
