People around are screaming "Rinne won this series"... I don't agree. It is our forward depth that did not exist. This is partially on Kenny (someone like Umberger or Vermette would have been excellent addition) and partially injuries to Helm and Eaves. Our D and G were actually fine. Almost all games were decided by 1 goal and Jimmy didn't let more than 3. For example, the following offense roster would have taken us further to the second round, we didn't simply had good 3rd and 4th lines... Franzen - Datsuyk - Bertuzzi Hudler - Zetter - Filppula Cleary - Vermette - Abdelkader Holmstrom - Helm - Eaves (Nyquist) similarly, you may take out Vermette and put Umberger on the second line instead while delegating Fil to center the third one. just one trade for semi-good player and absense of injuries. This happens. I'm dissapointed though. the worst thing is that our leaders are now one year older.

Shea Weber fined for Zetterberg "headslam"
RusDRW replied to Manny>Ozzie(by a long shot)'s topic in General
you're right but this is a menthal thing. People tend to forget circumstances and will remember that it wasn't suspension just 2500. Then, next time he'll get no more than one game even if something serious will happen. -

I guess in order to become a repeat offender you need to be suspended at least once. And every time he is doing something bad he is not a repeat offender because he has not been suspended jist fined. They could use this circle forever. -

ooh well, if you were there then everything is fine. This indeed changes everything. No suspension. -

Be honest yourself. There is a huge difference between going hard into the corner and grabbing another player's head and punching it into the glass. -

looks like this time of the year you're once again allowed to punch people to the head. I'm not surprized though... -
Something tells me they'll choose forward again. Yakupov This guy models his game after "good conadian boys", "plays inspiring hockey" and unfortunately can't keep his head up just like Taylor Hall.

apparently, we are trying our best to lose this game.
-
I think he is nervous. However, this is not an excuse for not even trying. Natural hockey talent is easily seen even in first NHL games. Shaahan showed nothing.
-
Nyquist looked very good, especially at that last shift. Shaehan looks very bad. Hoe does not really understand what to do on the ice which is way worse compared to Nyquist's and Tatar's first NHL games. At least two years away from NHL.
-
According to Swedish TV Shaehan is playing tonight. Is this right?

Coytes just demonstrated how to be successful with such a run-and-gun teams. The answer is surprisingly simple - intensity for all 60 minutes. Babcock did you watch this?

I can only imagine those NA-styled inpirational speeches by Bylsma in the locker room now "It is world against us and Gary babies! So get your panties on, we gonna dive this game out!!!"

anything that will take Emmerton off the 4th line
-
take it easy. I laready hate your team going to the playoffs and this is a goood sign. Blues are good and stimulate to write me more garbage aboute them.
-
stl ofense is based on Perron and Oshie. Pronger physics fvrom Ericson or Stuart may decide this. Backes and Backlund are just huge pieces of meet who barely think.
-
you don't understand the 1difference betweeb Zetter and Cleary?
-
rephrasing to make it ok. Our stars are better than yours so that we willl win that's incorrect
-
Why is you still a fan?

We are playing withour THREE legit defenseman. I don't really understand how people can undervalue Kindle and, especially, Ericsson so much. They are both good and would have a roster spot on any NHL team. Instead, we now play rookie and career AHL-er regularly. This is huge blow, I'm not surprised we lost 5 in a row. We'll be fine once Lids, Ericsson and Kindle are back. Smith is our depth guy. PS An I the only one who thinks Quincey is a kind of dissapointment?

this season Malkin, last season Malkin/Sedins/Crosby, two seasons ago Ovechkin/Datsyuk, three seasons ago Crosby. Say what you want but to be the best player in the game you have to be able to play the game (be healthy). Crosby has all the potential to be the best.

midget line: Nyquist - Jarnkrok - Pulkkinen power line: Tvrdon - Shaehan - Jurco

What do you guys have to say about Filpulla now?
RusDRW replied to wingslionstigers's topic in General
Most people still think a guy named F_O_dorov played for Detroit. -
I would be ok with this deadline if we will try to somehow strengthen from within. The only thing I do not like about our team in the play-offs is our 4th line. Emmerton and Mursak are completely useless. Will Eaves be back soon? Accorrding to the recent reports this is not the case. Thus, I would call up Tatar and Nyquist and try to play them letting Emmerton and Mursak to sit. I would play them in first three lines making Miller-Helm-Abdelkader our fourth line.... A big overhyped forward they drafted 13th overall. Nothing special.

2012 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - February 27th, 3:00 PM ET
RusDRW replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
I do not really understand how every year Sharks trade their garbage for serviceable players... sometimes even for stars like Heatley, Burns, etc.
