he was making approximately 18 over 6 years. ~3M per.
-
Indeed. And please don't forget he never played for joy, just for money. Now he has enough after than contract with CBJ. Nobody knows how he will look like when he finally understands there is a chance to win.

Most of you wanted us to get bigger and meaner. This is what you ask for. Commondore is what 6.3 right? Ericsson 6.5. Stuart 6.2, Lids and Kroonner 6.1, Kindl 6.3 and Smith 6.2. Our defense is bigger than your average defense. Will addition of Commondore it is definitely tougher. I would event replace Kindl with O'Brien to get even more tougher. Remember how we played again those Joe Thorntons? Now we addressed it even if he is 6th def.

Wings re-sign Eaves to 3-year, $3.6m contract

I'm not saying this Just excellent contract for Detroit as a team. Looks like Eaves accepted less to get a bit longer term. -

Underpaid by 800K. 2M per year would be fair. -
This analogy is good for brainless machines who cannot compare their abilities, not humans. Steve Jobs thinks for iApples, that is why they cost at least two times more than similar products from other brands. Like I mentioned next year iKronwall with ask about 6.5 per year while his normal price taking into account Red Wings hometown discount would be 5. Think yourself, what is the reason to give up on additional money when people around you have no such intentions at all?

Your comparison with Apple is excellent. Sadly no one hears... Completely agree on the effect of this signing. In addition to Kronwall, Helm, Abs, etc. Patrick Eaves, a decent player, comes to my mind too. He is leaving now. Next year, Kronwall will request 6M. Stuart 5M. Helm 3. Abs 2+. Thanks, Kenny! Two of them will leave as well. A signature move that will definitely affect the short-term future by changing reputation of the Red Wings.

Tend to agree.

if this is indeed true he could be a steal. Very mature player at the age of 19. Great positioning, good speed, good ice vision, good puck control. Does not use his size... but well he is Russian after all I see his potential as above average classic Russian defenseman. A bit worse version of A. Markov. Anyway, you all will see him at WJHC in December.

source is related to KHL, where some teams are waiting for Jagr's decision... just a rumor though.
-
there is a rumor we have offered one year 3.75M contract.
-
How do you say in NA? What goes around comes around? At least, I heard something like that... Assume you're Logan Couture, a second line center negotiating a new contract with highly competitive SJS. Will you give them a kind of discount? Will you believe them if they say we are not trading you? What if Red Wings are not making play-offs and Lidstrom is available (hypothetical, I know)? What if you signed cheap and play above expectations? Are you sure they won't trade you for a good chance to get a cup? What's about Van Riemsdyk? Claude Giroux? How do you think Campbell feels now? More likely than not he will never get a chance to come close to the play-offs... It is sunny in Florida but what if he actually likes hockey and wants to compete?

I have a feeling this draft will be one of the most successful in our recent history...
-
Tvrdon... 6 letters, 1 consonants. Exactly what our announcers need Seriously, he is already big at 18. 6.2, 210lbs... hope he adds to this a bit more...
-
have no idea who Xavier is... already don't like him
-
here is some video of Thomas Jurco link. At least puck handling is good... he is fairly beg at 6.2
-
Schenn is useless crap. You all have seen him in the last WJHCs. He is prototype Canadian forward from 70s. Shutt comes to my mind when I think of him. Could complement already strong team. No way he could lead a team.
-
unfortunately (for Washington) Laich is not center. PS This line screams Richards!
-
indeed. Being injury-free is the major problem.
-
White is going to get his 3M+ in San Jose. He played exceptionally well for them in the play-offs and now when they got rid of Niclas "The Wall" Wallin and his 2.5 off they have some money to spend signing White and Couture.

even this year's team was good enough. If not for Zetter injure and two strange co-incidents with Bert and Cleary we would have played in the WCF. So the answer is yes. Adding Jagr will improve the offense no matter what people speak here. Replacing constantly inured Rafalski by Wiz will improve the defense. My best wishes - Hudler (-2.8) + Richards (+6.5) + Wiz (+4.5) + O'Brien (+2.0) Richards won't sign with us though. So replacing him with Jagr works for me too.

In this interview Jim Rutherford says Chad Larose (Jokinen and Pitkanen as well) won't be signed. What do you thing about getting Chad? Every time I watched Carolina he has been a very impressive role player.
-
Stuart is one of the most consistent players on this team. Above average in every aspect of the game he always gives his 100%. We need more players like him on our blue line.
-
I like both teams. Both deserved to be in the finals. A bit skewed towards Boston winning.

how can you injure yourself playing baseball????
