I remember reading papers as well when I had no Internet in 90s. Those were Russian papers and even those reported something like Atlanta chooses Stefan..., Daigle, Yashin. WTF! No words about Dats, Johan, etc. What the environment that was.
-
Why? Isn't far from Detroit area?

Most euro students are sleeping by 1am. This is true for Germany, Scandinavia, and Finland. In Finland, for example, you don't usually have roommates - as your room is for you only. You won't have problems watching your TV at night. However, be sure that sound and your screams are adequate.

so basically you had no choice I'm from Russia, and I remember when Sergey Makarov (meanwhile, do you know this guy?) signed my hockey stick. I was more than impressed. Just don't know how to express it in English

doesn't work from Europe. In fact, it works for NA IPs only. You need to get good proxy with at least 400Kbps or get a good friend forwarding your packets. There are special services for this which are pretty cheap. There are many ways, just decide on the most convenient for you and ask further.

Oh, I know this way. First my dad said to me "look what Russian five just did" and I became DRW fans. Now my 5 daughter screams "Zetter is better" each time when we play against s***tshburg on PS3.

go to espn360.com and get you season ticket for just only 70 euro. With this small amount of money you'll get 1280 NHL games with all 82 DRW regular season games. The only thing is that they start at 2:00 am earliest. That's tough but this is how we survive here in Europe. 39 euros for play-offs.

we are good enough. Only one thing away. It is either: 1. Good punishing 4th liner, e.g. Nystrom (unlikely) 2. Hudler being on par with Zetter and Dats (could happen) 3. Bart returning to his punishing style (very unlikely) 4. Both Zetter and Dats having good (not best) season (likely to happen) in all I would say we have better chance than any team in the NHL. Like 10%.

we made offers to these guys. All of them are RFAs. Why there are now news? Do they want to get offers sheets? Did they already declined? (meanwhile is this possible for RFAs without going for arbitration)... So many whys from me... sorry.

He is exactly what Zettter was when we drafted him. Drive to the net and excellent def plays in the play-offs is what Zetter all about now and what makes him better than anyone in this league. Whether Jarnkrok has it still remains to be seen.
-
meanwhile, he could be excellent trade bait at the deadline. There are 29 teams in NHL who like big guys. See Mathias who will never bacome good NHL-er
-
I just hope we drafted our own Brendan Morrow. If this is true be ready for really long development period...
-
So what's your point? Drafting later is better? Let's just trade down to 5th or 7th round? Both Chicago and Pittsburgh recently proved that first round picks really help winning the Stanley Cup. Both those teams have at least five players drafted in the first round.
-
I think that DRW management need to speed up a bit prospects development process... If Brandan looks fine, insert him into the line-up. Put Tatar into too. What are we going to lose anyway?
-
In this case each and every game would be in Pittsburgh with Sindy in attendance.

Cleary has always been one of the best play-off players for us since he came here. Basically, only Hank and Lids were better during the past few seasons. Sometimes I wished we would have 12 Clearies on our roster. I knew something was wrong with him.

How long does it take for people to understand that Ville is not a complete player? He chose himself what to do or not to do. He is not going into dirty areas, losses the puck too quickly, etc. He needs special players around him to do this job. Red Wings are not built this way. In our system all players need to be responsible. That is why Williams is very bad here. That is why Ville plays for Philly. And I actually like it.

I have no problem with Hawks winning it all this season. They play outstanding hockey and actually remind me DRW back in 2007 and 2008. Flyers are a bit similar so I'm expecting a great SCF.
-
he is pretty similar to Johan Franzen.
-
this sounds good. PS If Babcock is one of these two coaches I know who he is going to choose as his no. 1

I just don't understand what you're looking for on this board. We all feel that something was wrong. Just imagine for a second what you're going to feel when all these "minor" things will go in Hawks' favor, when officials will not notice SJ player cut by the stick, when Seabrook will try to take away Pevelski with a blind hit. When at the end you'll realize that your team was penalized two times more and they still lost the game by one goal... You better be prepared. Most likely it is Hawks who NHL wants to be in the finals.

I don't like all this s*** about "we should have been better" and "we shouldn't whine about officiating" now. The hockey game was invented to be fair for both sides and I DON'T LIKE that in each and every ******* series nowadays ONE TEAM HAS TO OVERCOME OFFICIATING in order to win. And I'm not talking about my Red Wings only. Example? It just happened to SJ in this play-offs. Just recall SJS-COL series. SJ had two times more penalties! Can you ******* imagine that? Spending 50 minutes in their zone, putting 50 shots on goal in every game and they still got 32 penalties as opposed to 15 against COL. They managed to overcome this simply because SJ is head and shoulders above Colorado. However, what if... Joe Pavelski never scored that OT goal? What if... Colorado magically scored on at least 50% of their opportunities? History will be made? It is just not fair. We were better than SJ in our series. But not twice better... and that was required for us to win it. I don't know what could have happened if officiating was fair. However, most likely, weaker team advanced. It is not hockey I once loved. Perhaps, that is one of the reason I no longer pay to watch it.

I already stopped paying for european analogue of Center Ice this year. There is no way I will subscribe next year after all this s***.

What's about Olli Jokinen? He once was a force in this league.

this line would be a nightmare to play against. Speed and toughness. I like it.
