There must be at least one suspension going to Niedermeyer for that elbow to the face. It was clearly intentional. However, there will be no suspension for that. I do not know how long I'll be able to handle such kind of treatment from NHL: - suspension for Roy for crossing the red line. No suspension for Kunitz on intentional hit on Varlamov; - 5 games suspension for Brashear and no suspension for Brown - no suspension for Walker, nothing for Perry, Getzlaf and Niedermeyer for starting fights two times after the game... and these are just major cases. I'm not talking about officiating that is always there to ensure 7 games series. it all started after the lockout in 2004 and still continues every time we are in the play-offs. My mind tells me to stop watching this bush league but I simply can't... I love my Red Wings too much to do that. This is exactly what allows NHL to treat die hard fans like that. They know we will always be watching and spending money no matter what. I really do not like this situation now. They are saying NHL is commercial project. Fine, I agree with that but, perhaps I need to have a better look at the NBA next season.

I would say it was very honest... I can understand why they are treating this as business. However, it is still sporting business that has a lot of specific things including unpredictable results, for example. Assume for a moment we are all confident that our series with Aanheim will be decided in game 7 (with refs "helping" a lot to ensre that). Are you going to watch game 5 and 6? Will you spend yout money to watch it?

You better watch those games. Vancouver is trapping from the game 1. And the franchise they are modeling is not Pittsburgh unfortunately. It is Anaheim.

I agree with Anaheim - Pittsburg. The face of NHL with Stanley Cup under his belt is a dream for NHL adverstisment campaign. And, in this series Ahaneim can be easily controlled by calling all those penalties that usually go unnoticed. Any other team from the west can win in spite of bed officiating as it already happened last year. My money is on Washington/Pittsburg - Anaheim. No way we will go through Anaheim.

I still think Leino, no Abdelkader, would be a good addition to our 4th line. We already have Helm who is crushing the net on that line. Leino can make plays for him. Remeber last year when we had Hudler on our 4th line. We got 14 points and our 4th line was on of the main factors we won the Stanley Cup.

Sorry but I do not feel bad for Wisniewsi at all. When you are asked to play that style of game this is what coming at you. So they better be ready and did not complain about anything.

Leino is certainly NHL ready and we did not call him up yet. To be honest I do not get it. In one of those forthcoming games he can be the difference maker turning our 4th line into a real force. Helm is trying but it is too difficult when you are plaing with Kopecky and Maltby.

this time we didn't have that "500 posts to wing game 2". Call me stupid bit I still think this is the reason we lost....
