very personal list... 1. Yzerman 2. Lidstrom 3. Draper 4. Shanny 5. Murphy 6. Fedorov 7. Dats 8. Zetter 9. Maltby 10. Malts Dats and Zetter will be on top of this list in a couple of years. Of course, right behind Steve...

I swear this is the last game I saw in this NHL... I have enough. My 185 euros will go to something more fair...
-
I agree. I think Morrow is like Arnott - his presence is felt sometimes... But when Dats and Zet are on the roll it does not matter.
-
I do not know how all of you guys forget one thing... Coaching. This is what can decide the series. And I would say Babs is way better than Counneville (I'm pretty sure I wrote his name incorrectly )
-
That's why Kenny is best GM in the league. Practically he save 1M on this contract.
-
that is a steal. He was our BEST player in two previous play-offs and I'm pretty sure he will be in upcoming play-offs too.
-
I like the proposal but I don't see it happening. However, if we'll be able to keep Cleary, sign top 6 winder like Rolston and Brunnstrom the Cup will be ours next season. Unfortunately, I do not see it happening too In the best possible scenrio we'll get Cleary and Brunnstrom which is also OK for me.

if Konstantinov was never physical then who was? Check your definition of physical defencemen.
-
That is was just a suggestion. I mean in order to improve the team we may take a look at solid second line players. We have own stars in Zet, Dats, Lids, and Raf so why not to get two second-line contributors a la Cleary. Perhaps, Fedotenko is not the best but someone similar would be good for Detroit.
-
Personally, I would be happy to get two second-liners... Fedotenko and Prospal would be great. Both are big bodies and recently were important part of their teams winning SC. I would send Hudler + 3rd for Fedotenko and Kindl for Prospal. This will address toughness as well as skill. The only problem is that both are UFA by the end of this season but I think we will be able to sign at least one... Loosing Kindl is not a big problem given that we still have Quincey and Ericsson. Come play-off time we might look as follows Cleary - Dats - Homstrom Fedotenko - Zet - Prospal Filppula - Franzen - Samuelsson Maltby - Draper - McCarty three capable lines plus checking line with enforcer; outstanding defense (given that all our boys are healthy by that time)

completely agree.

Check his statistics. Hossa dissapears in the play-offs.

I'm really looking forwards to this game. "Battle of the best" isn't it? Hope we'll win.

Go, Russia, go! Finally, we have to break that curse of loosing finals to Canada. I really beleive in this year and there are two reasons for that. First of all, we do not have rising stars like Ovie or Malkin and, in a such kind of tournament, it is a good sign. We have to play as a team. Secondly, we have our winning coach back and he promised to add to our squad some 6'4'' guys. And this is even better sign of changes. Skill alone does not win junior champs. Let's see.

5:3 wings Dats 2, Zet 2, Cleary 1
-
If I'm not mistaken it does not matter which position you play offensively. If you are voted for starting lineup you'll be there. Dats now is second in votes in Western Conference right after Zet.
-
yes, he is having career year. But we call it "career year" because it happens only once. This gives me one more reason to be sure that Dats for 6.75 is a complete steal. I can only imagine what is fair for Zet. Let's say 15 per year for 15 years?

I remember from the last game Crosby just touched the puck and announcers immediately said "Crosby did it again". Yes. What a joke.
-
hey it was funny. but I guess all the questions should stop immediately after those shots. Let him talk whatever he wants. anyway, those answers were a way better than "we have to give 100%, shut he puck more" etc. I'm getting tired of those "well-speaking" impotents like Peca, Sundic, Nash, etc,

it doesn't really matter whether Niedermayer returns or not Ducks will be hard to beat in the play-offs. To me one of the main reasons Ducks won last year is in the effect they have on officiating. In every play-off game Ducks set the tone on officiating early with a lot of hooking and slashing. It affected the referees who usually stopped calling after two or three consecutive calls on the Ducks. Indeed, from their point of view, it would look unfair if one team spends half of the game in the penalty box. Recently it was summarized by Canucks coach here I'm not complaining about this tactics. I would be happy if my Red Wings play like that.

it should be 2002 and certainly away game of SCF. What a captain he was...

I'm not prtetty sure about Jiri Tlusty... however, I followed Nikolai Kulemin during the past two years. I would say that you guys in Toronto have the best russian prospect playing overseas. Great hands, size, vision,...very close to Malkin, actually. I was really scared when we decided to draft Cory Emmerton when Kulemin was still available.
