I know a guy who knows a guy who works for the organization and went out and bought a Hossa jersey as soon as last year's Finals were over because he was so confident about him re-signing. Not discrediting your source, but I don't put much stock in them.

The states represented are Minnesota, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Missouri, New Jersey, Washington, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Nevada with the latter 4 represented by 1 player each.

Didn't his relationship with Boston deteriorate pretty badly before he was traded? I seem to remember him really wanting out. That lfpress article has photos attached to it. This is obviously a grave situation and we all hope he makes a full recovery, but per the photos - he still works on breaking things up after his neck is slashed. Needless to say, that's gutsy.

Yeah, not sure why the Hossa hate. Like I've mentioned before, I spent a lot of time in Pittsburgh last year and any disdain Wings fans have for him automatically reminds me of my time there. Pens fans hate Hossa because some bizarre sense of loyalty. Despite his only being there for a portion of a season, they had it in their heads that he planned on remaining a Penguin for life. Granted, I'm just as bummed as the next guy that he left - he doesn't owe us anything. They tried to make something work, but his contract was just too big. I don't think that's any reason to hate a guy.

Haha, I'm actually really surprised that I pulled that one off. Regardless, I'm still having a hard time caring. I am amused that I've been intellectually insulted for my disdain for Crosby, though I should've seen that coming. I must obviously be stupid if I'm sick of hearing about how great he is and I genuinely dislike the fact that he's a poor sport. I understand that he's young, but there are certain things you just have to step up and do when you're thrust into the position he's been put into.

I know I'm reviving an old thread, but I mentioned before my order from DHGate and that I would post photos when the jersey came. Well it finally came and I'm extremely happy with it. It looks good and fits great. Obviously Zet's name isn't in quite the same font, but I'm not complaining at $41 shipped. I'll probably remove the SCF logo since it's only sewn and not sewn and glued.

St. Andrew's Hall barely ever has shows anymore. If you're looking for a concert of any sort, your best bets are going to be The Majestic/Magic Stick (which also has a restaurant, bar, and bowling alley) or the Fillmore. Both of which are on Woodward and within relative proximity to the Hockeytown Cafe - to give you an idea.

Pittsburgh is actually a great city. I think it's more a knock on a rival than a social commentary. I can see where you're coming from with your point, but it's also fair to say that any 'dead people' or offensive jokes any of us make are in the privacy of our homes or in between friends - not broadcast to the public on cable television. So even if you'd like to argue that those jokes are fine to make, I think we could still agree that there is a time and a place. Neither one of which is while you're commentating a professional hockey game.

Having lived in Pittsburgh for a short time last year, I can honestly say the announcing duo they have locally is the worst I've ever heard. This instance aside, they generally come across as amateur on a regular basis.

I got in touch with ronawang1981 like Yzerfan suggested and launched a barrage of questions his way, he was great - answering every one of them. Already ordered my road Zets jersey from him! I'll post pics when it comes in.

Thanks for the heads up, I tracked him down and his jerseys look great. I sent him a message asking when he thinks he'll have some Wings jerseys in stock. I ordered a standard road white Zets jersey from champjersey.com and received a Winter Classic jersey which looks good, outside of the fact that the Winged Wheels on the shoulders are upside down. I know it sounds sarcastic, but the rest of the jersey actually does look awesome. As many have said, mine is huge, too. They've been really good about correspondence and have offered to send me a replacement free of charge, while letting me keep the one I have. Unfortunately their stock isn't large and they are out of Wings jerseys at the moment. Like I said, they've been really nice - but if Mr. ronawang1981 gets any Wings jerseys in stock in the near future, I will definitely be getting my money back and heading his way. The fact that the money stays with DHGate pending your satisfaction is an amazing concept.

Well it appears as though NHL Center Ice won't be airing the two most-hyped games of the weekend (those being the ones in Sweden). Chicago and Florida is going on right now, but Center Ice is too busy having two channels dedicated to most of the 'Upcoming' games that won't be airing until 7:00pm, or worse yet - tomorrow. This is a travesty.

I'm already sick of hearing Crosby's name. Watching Sportscenter right now to relive the Tigger's defeat of the Twins and my good time is interrupted by Melrose and Barnaby. Melrose just talked up Chicago's great offseason (which they had) by adding that they, "almost beat Detroit last year". Really? Where was I?

Good. I'm (relatively) new to the service. I guess it wouldn't make any sense for DTV not to air it.

While I do love ESPN, as it's been said before - it's important to remember that their hockey knowledge is as in-depth as their coverage. Years ago, I really loved Buccigross and thoroughly enjoyed his columns - but the more time goes on the more of an out-of-touch bandwagon jumper he seems to be. At least Melrose has always been the same helmet-headed mastermind.

This doesn't appear to apply to DirecTV, but I certainly hope I'm wrong.
