Only anytime I think about it.

For sentimental reasons, I'm sorry to see him go. Obviously he was a great player throughout his career and his personality and leadership will be missed, but it's been awhile since he was a really strong contributor to the team on the ice. Thank you, and best of luck Cheli.

I agree with you. I've been to Comerica and I think it's a great park. Is it Tiger Stadium? No, but there's not a bad seat in the house and it's a great place to watch a game.

I've thought a lot about this point, too. I saw Osgood in Jim Rome is Burning and even he admitted that after winning the Cup last year it was hard to, 'get up for a Tuesday night game'. When we lose time and time again to the Blue Jackets or the Coyotes you have to wonder whether or not some guys are taking a night off. That said, I like the point of a game (and a season) being a marathon. Detroit plays old and smart and if we need to take a night off to preserve, then so be it. I think a lot of people consider the Wings to lack character or drive because they just don't get rattled. Always calm, always collected - it seems that people take that as not caring. Obviously, there are a lot of questions after they blew Games 6 and 7. I'd like to imagine that Ken is right, though.

Quoted for truthiness.

I don't see Abdelkader or Leino as Red Wings just yet. We have the depth already to let them mature in Grand Rapids for another year. I think Samuelsson is gone, maybe Hudler, though I would hate to see Hudler go. Not that he's much of a producer, but he represents the youth that we need. Honestly, Lebda can go. I've never been a fan and he doesn't do anything to change my opinion of him. In my opinion, too much is being made of what we lack. I know that no Cup is a failed season, but it's not like we finished .500 or something. Kenny is an evil genius and will get us everything he feels we need.

Can't say I'm much interested in the idea of Heatley, either. Obviously, we aren't the same style team, but Heatley over Hossa didn't work for Ottawa. I don't think his style of play would have much, if any, place in Detroit - and it goes without saying that he's not worth the cap hit.

Long time, no post. I love the Wings, obviously, as well as the rest of the Original Six. The Bruins are definitely my least favorite of the Six, though. I'll go on record as saying I like the Pens unis as well. Most any team to join the league or move after the mid-90's has awful logos and jerseys. The Stars, Ducks, Blue Jackets, Predators, Lightning, Thrashers, Canucks, and Hurricanes all have jerseys that I hate looking it. I will say that I love the Phoenix Coyotes' new logo and uniforms, though. Their original look was atrocious, but they actually wised up and went for a more traditional look and I think it paid off - obviously not literally. Say what you want about Reebok, but the fact that they make every jersey for every team has brought some consistency to the looks and the way their jerseys are cut forced some teams (like the Stars) to quit having dumb s*** (like a big Star) on their sweaters. The change to Reebok also gave some teams, like the Blues and Sharks, a chance to tweak their colors and make their uniforms infinitely better than they had been.
