@DownGoesBrown: It's nice to see a Flyer's club destroyed by something other than goaltending.
-
Sorry, Cleveland.
-
Peralta chose to accept is suspension for the same reason. Though, he isn't as important to the Tigers as Cruz is.
-
Got my Kronwall jersey lettered and numbered at SportsK and it turned out great. Like everyone else, I'd highly recommend them.
-
Until some concrete evidence comes out against the likes of Peralta and the others who were suspended - this will feel like a farce. I don't doubt that any of these players cheated, but I'd say it's the fans right to know. Otherwise, it comes across like the MLB napalming everyone to get to Braun and Rodriguez for ever making fools out of the league.

@DannyKnoblerCBS: Tigers people understandably celebrating last night's big trade. Love idea of long-term Iglesias-Perez DP combo. Defensive wizardry on the infield? Sounds good to me. Losing Garcia stings, but you have to give talent to get it. Plus, that gives Detroit two Plus defenders at premium positions.

I actually explained this to an out of state relative who was visiting a couple of years ago. No matter how good the Red Wings do, Detroit will seemingly always belong to the Tigers.
-
Ugh. That number.

Per Puck Daddy, Ilya Kovalchuk's new contract with SKA Moscow could be worth $20 million a year. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/ilya-kovalchuk-join-ska-could-earn-20-million-210237775.html

I thought about that, but not until after I hit 'Post'. I guess we'll see how this goes.

INSANE grand rapids roster next season full of prospects
Travis replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
The Griffins announce the re-signing over their core veteran leadership. Captain Jeff Hoggan, Nathan Paesch, Triston Grant, and Calder Cup clinching goal scorer Brennan Evans will all be back next year. Paesch and Evans are defenseman, Hoggan and Grant are forwards. Glad to see them all back. And thanks to whoever changed the title of this thread. It was driving me crazy. -
Seriously? Holy hell. Maybe that's why he left.
-
While there are definitely names that warrant their own threads, there are plenty of other players that do not. Let's post and discuss those signings here. @NHLonTSN: Viktor Stalberg signs a 4-year, $12 million deal with the Predators. #TSN #NHL $3 million annually seems like a lot for a guy who was bouncing between the 3rd and 4th lines in Chicago.

When I think about who is on their way out, I worry that it may very well be Tatar. He's one of Detroit's most valuable assets, of course, but he's also rather outspoken and can't manage to get more than a cup of coffee with the big club despite his successes in the AHL. Total speculation, but I wonder if maybe he and management don't quite see eye-to-eye.
-
Yeah, those first-place Tigers really suck.

Signed Wings sign forward Luke Glendening to 1-year, 2-way

Babcock loves the kid. Said during the Calder Cup Finals that he'd be a full-time NHLer some day. -
Happy I won't have to see his stupid face too much.

Good kid. Good for the team and the city as well. -
Those numbers are entirely speculative.
-
Well there's no way he's signing in Pittsburgh now. @HeleneStJames: Sidney Crosby called Daniel Cleary this afternoon to sell Cleary on joining Penguins. #RedWings
-
Love it. That's exactly what I imagine everyone wants to hear.

RUMOR: Cleary to Penguins, 4yrs / $6.25mil per t5
