I am, without a doubt, going.

Agreed on lots of different levels. Looking at the free agent market, there isn't much to get excited about. Carlos Pena and Derrek Lee are both available who could platoon at 1B/DH with Cabrera but neither have crazy good numbers. That said, both of them were on pretty horrible teams for most of the year. Maybe something like: Jackson Boesch Young Cabrera Lee/Pena Avila Peralta Inge Raburn/Santiago There is talk that Victor could be back before the year ends, but that would obviously be a bonus and isn't something to rely on. If that were to happen, maybe we can move Lee or Pena to 3B? Who knows. The 3 names below Jhonny's worry me immensely.

And as I type that, word hits that Victor Martinez has torn his ACL and will likely miss the entire 2012 season. Now I guess they have to sign someone.

The night before. So his Breakfast of Champions is stomach aches. The Tigers agree to contracts with Rick Porcello, Max Scherzer, Don Kelly, and Delmon Young keeing Dave Dombrowski's arbitration 0'fer going. Now that they're out of the way, I'd love to see the Tigers sign someone who didn't wear an Olde English D last season.

This is really exciting and kudos for the NHL for doing what they can to include the city of Detroit, despite the draw of the largest crowd ever being so intoxicating.

I can't help but feel like this team is destined for a fall. I'm happy to see them competing, but I'm just not sure they can keep up the pace. I'm actually currently ironing out a trade for Craig Anderson in my fantasy league, so if anything - it'll be my fault.

When Daniels reported the fact that he was sent to the hotel and related it back to the comments he had made previously my fiancee actually started listening and said, 'Wow, teams will actually do that?', to which I had to reply, 'No' and try to explain why Montreal is so dysfunctional. It's hard to grasp how a team like that with so much history and prior success is so hell bent on tearing itself apart the second they aren't up to par.

The ONE thing I can't stand about Wings games on FSD.....
Travis replied to unsaddleddonald's topic in General
Because he's referring to the number of tickets sold. -
It's going to be Zetterberg. Datsyuk and Kronwall with the A. If they keep the rotation the 3rd A likely goes to someone like Stuart or Franzen.
-
It's just characters from Archer. I don't think there's any sort of relevance there.
-
Same. My fiancee, my Dad and I will be right there with you.

Yeah, especially with Verlander and Cabrera entering their primes and having a very real opportunity to add some World Series-caliber talent in only a couple of spots where we need upgrades, really. I understand that the last time the Tigers tasted success and Dombrowski went all H.A.M. on bringing in new talent that it blew up in his face; but to me that just says spend intelligently, not batten down the hatches.

I would be pretty happy to see Garza in a Tigers uniform. Not sure how I feel about trading Turner at this point, but you can't argue with that rotation. They still need some help on offense, I think. Or I guess I should say, I'd like to see them get some. I can't believe how quiet this off-season has been for Detroit.

Detroit Athletic is good. They are down the street from the old Tiger Stadium if I recall. I ordered a Helm t-shirt from them for my Dad last Christmas and had 0 trouble.
-
Also, the only actual photos of real jerseys they have are of knock-offs (Yzerman and the Modano and Ritola WC).

The origins of its use in the Black community come from attempts to disarm the word itself.

Saw this yesterday on Broad Street Hockey. Pretty disgusting actions. Even Flyers fans are ganging up against these idiots and apparently the Facebook bragger has recanted now that he realizes he'll likely be in a s***load of trouble if it really was him. Not that it changes anything, necessarily, but the officer is also a Marine Corps veteran with a Purple Heart. He could be a real ******* and it still wouldn't mean that he deserved to be jumped for arguing about a hockey game. edit: This is getting good now. http://www.broadstreethockey.com/2012/1/4/2682669/flyers-rangers-fan-fight-genos-steaks-winter-classic

I'm always leery of 3rd party sellers like this that don't provide anything other than NHL.com stock imagery in their photos.

All of their second round wins against the Sharks were great, but I think this was mine. This was my Dad's first Wings game at the Joe. I took him for his birthday and we were somehow surrounded by Oilers fans. We got the last laugh courtesy of Nick and Pavs, though.

Well this was actually an official noting what Barch said, not like Subban went 'crying' to anyone. When you consider the long, embarrassing, disgusting history of racism America has seen and how far back those kinds of things go you can't really call someone out for being affected by that. It's more than the word itself, it's a very pointed, deliberate sort of attack. When someone says it, it's because they know what kind of weight it carries, you know? I think it goes far beyond trash talking to be that ignorant of a human being. And someone's racism affects you if your race is the target. All of that political or personal stuff aside – it's tough territory as far as suspensions go. If you aren't going to suspend someone for a *** slur, how can you turn around and suspend someone for a different one? Because of their previous stance, the NHL looks to be in a mess either way.

The Ducks also play at the Honda Center. It was an all right commercial over all. The only really humorous part was the 'Really?' at the end, though.

Real piece of s*** move by Kopecky. Good on Rupp for going to town on him.

Around the world and back snap. Good to see the Lions take care of business when the opportunity arose.
