Yes. Exelby won't outplay him and Commodore is the 6th defenseman. He'll likely be paired with Ericsson and will hopefully show him how to use his size a little better. As far as needing a Top 4 d-man, that's Ian White at this point. I think that they'll lessen Nick's minutes by essentially putting him on the 2nd pairing with White and put Kronwall and Stuart back together.

Welcome back, Conks. You were good in a Red Wings sweater, hopefully you regain that. Exelby will be a nice Grand Rapids signing. I imagine that Conklin's price tag is also low enough that we still have a considerable amount of room to not only sign another forward, but also have a little room at the trade deadline.

There was a time where - given his shift from the bad guys in black to the good guys - I would have lobbied for Adam Banks to be compared to Marian Hossa. Also, I think that given the fact that Luis Mendoza had only speed and not actual skating ability (he couldn't stop, remember) - he should be compared to Brett Lebda. -

Yeah, there was a thread about this last night, too. Pure speculation misread by the OP. Probably based on the fact that Theodore landed in FLA. Vokoun hasn't signed anywhere.

Haha, that's really awesome. Fortunately for him, our relievers blew it harder than he did. It's a shame that the runs they were given by Valverde and Villareal made the difference.

Yeah, I don't see anything saying that this actually happened. Perhaps it was a possible scenario. Florida brought in Jose Theodore to be their new number 1. Vokoun hasn't gone anywhere, though.

Yeah, big risk for a goalie that could fail the Avs miserably. They were sort of up against it, though.
