Ehrhoff and Wisniewski got monster contracts. I think that the moves Kenny hasn't made speaks volumes. Lots of teams scrambling, adding bulls*** pieces that won't necessarily help their cause. At this point Kenny looks cerebral. He now has $13mil to spend on 3 or 4 players. More if this Hudler deal comes through somehow. That's not an accident. Big moves are coming, they just haven't come yet.

That's because there isn't one.

Thank goodness. His old dusty ass is right where it belongs.

The Lets Go Pens board is in full meltdown mode. Good to see some of their s***ty fans support the s***tiest player in the NHL.
-
The Fourth Period is reporting it, too.
-
He actually did! I really hope it's true and not another reporter fooled. Haha.

Gotcha. I misread the tone of your post. I wouldn't mind pursuing either of those fellows.

Seems like a heavy load for Bouwmeester's giant contract and the 3 goals he scored last year.

Jackets sign Wisniewski: 6-years $33-million ($5.5m/yr)
Travis replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
To be fair, it's not like Wisniewski has ever punished us before. Big boost for CBJ, but the sky is hardly falling. I was all about Wiz towards the end there, and was even hoping for Ehrhoff - but not for the years or totals they received. -

The price is inflated and an overpayment by easily a million, but that's the reality of the new NHL with the Salary Cap going up. It's not like players are going to take the same money with a higher ceiling available. I support Big E as he remains a Wing, even if I'd be happy to see him walk. He needs to get serious about his role with the team, though.

This probably unofficially closes the door on Draper, but I'm okay with Miller. Especially at that price tag.
-
Well if 'progress' meant Ericsson signing, hopefully it means the same for Patty.
-
Sorry if this has already been posted in one of the other threads, I've been away all day. Is there any interest in the signing of Shane O'Brien? I'm not terribly familiar with him. I know he plays with an edge and scored on his own team as a Canuck. Could he fill the 5th slot on the D? Would bring some size and grit.

There's probably a thread that's suitable for this a post instead of a new topic, but it'll be posted no doubt. Christian Ehrhoff has walked away from Vancouver's contract offer and will likely be headed to free agency, per Bob McKenzie. They are now shopping his rights.
-
Word is he's got an unhealed fracture that will require surgery and cost him 4 months.

Leyland must read the board. Coke is being moved back into the bullpen where he can be a successful middle relief man. He was great there last season, and I have no doubt he will do the same from here on out. In even better news, Daniel Schlereth's worthless arm has been optioned to AAA. At this point, he should probably be playing single-A ball.

The rights to Montador have been traded to the Blackhawks.

Polanco would be incredible right now. Too bad the bloated contracts of Robertson, Bonderman, and Willis tied us up. We need a real second baseman. As much as I love Ramon, he's not the answer either. We need to move some pieces if we want to truly contend. If we had a solid piece at the 4 we could have a truly explosive line-up.
-
umad bro? As has previously been stated, no one is disputing the fact that Holland isn't going to offer sheet Yandle. And yes, your attitude is still getting in the way.
-
I get what you're trying to get at, no need to worry about that.
-
I think he was referring more to the tone of your post as opposed to what it is you actually said. Also, it's capice.

How is 3 mil justified overpayment for a 39 year old forward?
