@Real_ESPNLeBrun Folks, I said the NHL HOPES to release sked tomorrow, but that doesn't mean it will be tomorrow for sure.

In Soviet Russia, Smyth trades you!

Can't say I'm real broken up about this. I liked Salei, but Joey Mac was best as a Griffin. Hopefully Rusty can go back West for his family and MacDonald can find a team that can use him as a back-up (Phoenix?).

Aaaand, the side strikes out in the top of the 9th. Hopefully they can regroup tomorrow against Lilly. Frustrating because of how poorly the Dodgers have played so far this year - though you wouldn't tell from the way they've played this series. I think our boys are tired from so many consecutive games. Luckily, the Tribe lost, too. 1GB

I can only s peak for myself but he's attainable, can provide offensive production and is widely regarded as a great locker room guy and a leader. Plus, he grows a mean beard and has a cool name.
-
Obviously, it's all speculation at this point - but this TSN article claims the Pens are at the top of the list and also mention the Capitals as a team with interest in Jagr. Per TSN

@Real_ESPNLeBrun Wings have offered more money than Penguins at this point. That can change in one phone call from Mario. But that's where it stands now. Don't get it done, Kenny.
-
Red Wings have officially confirmed their interest in Jagr. Only team to do so.
-
Sources say he wants to move back to Edmonton for family reasons.

You can slide up to them, but you might be asked to head back to yours. I bought standing room once and ended up in seats, though.

With Holland saying he'll be looking to potentially add defense through trade, does someone like Matt Carle become a real possibility?
-
1 down. Ideally, I'd be really interested in seeing that forward be Brooks Laich. Regardless, I like that Kenny said he's going to be aggressive this off-season. Sounds like you've got your wish. "We plan to be aggressive on July 1 and try to sign a defenseman or two." - Kenny

Been stuck in class all morning, but I have been rejoicing after reading the news on my phone. I'm also really excited to hear that Holland is going to be 'aggressive' this Summer. I fully expect this off-season to be the exact opposite of last year's.

My wishlist: Lidstrom re-signs Eaves re-signs Wisniewski replaces Rafalski 5th d-man Top 6 / 9 forward Back-up goalie I like Miller, but I don't feel like he'll fit in with these wishes.

I don't see Dombrowski making a move for Reyes when he can bid for him in the off-season. I agree that we definitely need to address the issue at 3B, though.

JV threw awesome again. At what point do we just assume he'll be the AL's starter in the all-star game? 4th CG of the year, 2nd in a row. Here's hoping the Tigers take the offense with them to Chavez Ravine and take advantage of a struggling Dodgers team. Indians win, too. 1GB

It's hard to beat good teams in their own ballparks, but that doesn't make me hate interleague play any less. It's frustrating to drop these games to a team that we aren't competing against. Loss drops the Tigs to 2nd place. Hopefully JV shuts down the Rockies' bats. Go Pirates, too. 1GB

Unlike last night, the Tigers score more runs than the Indians. Alone at the top of the Central. 1+

I was thinking in the present tense. I'll never pay to see Barry Sanders play football.

I think the @jameswisniewski account is run by someone who manages his website. Everything on it is in the 3rd person.

Aaaaand cue the Raburn homer. Really though, it's because Scott Sizemore sucks. He was an expendable piece for a team that needed a bullpen arm to keep from having to call up more guys who weren't / aren't ready. Sizemore had opportunities in the last 3 years and in each instance created more doubt as to whether or not he would be a successful major leaguer. He tore up the minors and immediately struggled at the Major League level. Don't get me wrong, it's not an easy transition - but he's got a long way to go and the Tigers are trying to win now. No one could expect Raburn to struggle like this and hopefully he turns it around - but I'm still more comfortable with Raburn's offensive possibilities than Sizemore's anything.
