It depends on the day for me, I guess. - I grow a playoff beard. - I don't play NHL-related video games on gameday. - And for the first 6 games of this year's playoffs I wore my Kronwall jersey and Red Wings snap back. I couldn't watch Game 3 because I was out with a friend, so I wore my Franzen shirt under my button down - and they lost. After that, I gave up on superstitions. My girlfriend's birthday was this past weekend so I trimmed the beard back down to normal, I didn't rock any Wings gear and I even got in a couple of games of Slapshot before we left for TC on Friday. Yesterday I wore that same damn Franzen shirt most of the day, but took it off after the 2nd period. The shirt must be cursed. So from here on out, my usual superstitions are out the window.

As much as I love Kronner, this is exactly what we were all missing from him in the regular season. This playoff season he has proven himself beyond a doubt to be a top tier defenseman.

Front Row Sports ILEMI Big win for the club yesterday. Hopefully Jackson is getting back into the swing of things, because he's a key component to the offense. There was talk prior to last night's game of having Maggs and Boesch swap places; but I agree with Rod. I'd like to see Boesch stay right where he is. Maybe Raburn takes the 3rd slot.

As far as I'm concerned - it can be cleaned up. I shave my neck and stuff. The mustache needs occasional trimming, too. Never a full-blown trim, though.

Great sweep of the ChiSox - easily my least favorite team in baseball. 9-3 since their abysmal 3-7 start and the Tigers are looking good. They've got the 2nd longest winning streak in the majors currently going and are 1.5 back of a Cleveland team that's lost 3 in a row.

Makes sense, I think the reason it was so cheap was the fact that the Tigers had yet to sign him. Was going to head to Detroit and go, but called it off on account of weather and the strong possibility of it getting called off.

Agreed. Inge took away multiple hits last night, one of which would've gone for extra bases. You take the good with the bad a lot of the time in this game, and Inge's only blemish is that he's not great at the dish - but when you're talking about a defensive 3B that can hit around .250 at the bottom of your line-up and come through in the clutch? I'll take that any day. Avila leaves a little to be desired, but he is learning. I like VMart is the regular Catcher, personally, but he's not going to be there every day no matter what. Also, Santiago can play 2B or SS; but I'm not giving him 1B or 3B. Lastly, it's important to remember that we're less than 1/10 of the way through the season. If our pitching can hold up to the standard that it's established since leaving New York - this team will be a force when the bats heat up.

Magglio is 'resting' because he's having problems with his surgically repaired ankle, Jackson got time off because he needed to fix his swing, ideally Boesch only sees right handed pitching; and it's a marathon not a sprint. If Inge fills in at C, whose going to play 3B?

I would rather see the Wings be rested than have them fit in with a preferred schedule to watch. Personally, I'm happy about the Saturday / Monday / Wednesday because I'll be out and about Friday night.
