Agreed, that would be really awesome. Your stuff is always great, drumnj. I'm watching the game at work, too.

    Joe Louis Red Wing Songs

Given the sort of in-the-dark nature of the OP's description, is it entirely possible that the 'crowd interaction' OP is thinking of is actually just in the song?

Like hardcore? There's also this thread from a couple of years ago:

Haha. It wasn't an actual guess, people. This song was also my first guess.

I know, right?! How could someone even confuse Iron Maiden to the majesty and wonder of Mr. Neil Diamond?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Kjh9lQXLWk These are probably stretches and obvious "no's", but I'm just trying to help out. edit: Didn't see the last post before mine, now I'm convinced you're talking about Sweet Caroline.

Could you give some more insight to what it sounds like, or how it goes?

It's somewhat double-edged in that Boesch needs to be consistent to hit there, so he'd better be consistent hitting there. Does that make any sense? Haha. 3:00 today! Camden Yards to take on the O's.

    Rosehill vs Lucic

Good fight. Had to mute it, though, so Jack Edwards didn't rot my brain.

I'm more for: CF Jackson 2B Rhymes DH Ordonez 1B Cabrera C Martinez LF Raburn RF Boesch SS Peralta 3B Inge So long as Will starts to come through at the dish a little more. If not, I'd take the one above, but with Magglio and Boesch switching places in the order.
  11. I like the Briere choice. One of my favorite non-Wings. Also back the Hossa and Weber choices. I think I'd say Stamkos, Weber, and R. Miller.

Awesome win. I've had a friend say that VMart should be the everyday catcher and DH should rotate between Maggs and Boesch. After the Brennan and Ryan show today, I am totally okay with that. These team has the offensive firepower to slug it out, and they proved that today.

    Smith named to All-Rookie team

Good for him. He's 12/20 with 4 GWG on the year. Excited to see him further develop next season.

    Favorite Non-Wing?

    Ryan Miller.

Smith on the AHLs All Rookie Team

Kid definitely doesn't need to be rushed. He's still a liability to an NHL defense.

I think Raburn will prove you wrong. They even discussed yesterday the issue they faced last year in trying to get him a large number of at-bats.

Shawn Thornton gets cut by skate

How exactly do you taunt someone who was cut wide open by a skate? "Way to get cut by razor sharp blade, you *****!" It must fill 'Hawks fans' hearts with pride to know their team is represented by so many stand up guys. Video: Shawn Thornton gets cut from skate, mocked by Blackhawks on Yahoo!

Well keep in mind that Martinez is going to catch a couple of times a week on a regular basis, at which point Maggs will most certainly DH.

Shawn Thornton gets cut by skate

The plot thickens. Or whatever. per ESPNChicago.com I like the he doesn't deny the fact that they talked s*** to him. Even Bryan Bickell acknowledged that someone did. But that's okay, because John Scott is going to "kick the s***" out of him for talking about something that no one denies them doing. Article also answers the question of 'who else did they do that to?' that was brought up earlier in the thread.

Definitely did. Somewhat unfair to have Coke in this, "you're a starter.. except your a reliever" role. He put in a poor performance, though. As did Perry. Schlereth threw better than I expected. This team should be able to hang in 6 run games, though. First day is out of the way, though. Now it's time to roll. 161-1.

I figured the Coke As a Starter experiment in the Yankees' minor league system would've been enough. I'm not confident in him starting, either.

All tied up now. Nice hitting in the top of the 5th. Great catch by Raburn, too!

JV is ramped up. I'm all for intensity, but I think he could reel it in a little. That said, he's not getting the benefit from the home plate ump.

Shawn Thornton gets cut by skate

The video posted? Or the knee injury? There's a bit of blood, but it doesn't show Thornton's face. He reacts well and jumps up quick to try and get off the ice as fast as possible.
