Well he's had stints - albeit short - with the Wings, Bruins, Leafs, and Islanders. It's not like he's never been given a chance. I'm not trying to bash the guy, I like him just fine as a Griffin - but I'm not real comfortable with him as a Wing.

Looking at the standings, the Tigers currently sit atop the Grapefruit league with the most wins, highest winning percentage (of course) as well as the fewest runs allowed and the second highest run differential. Impressive considering the team with the second-fewest runs allowed - Atlanta - has played 5 fewer games than the Tiges. Here's hoping it's a sign of things to come!

He's like Brandon Inge 2.0 in that the guy just works. Real likable guy that the fans can identify with, and I'm personally happy to see him in the 2 slot. I can't imagine who we'd put there in his place. Looks like I get to see Cokey's first start of the year.

Siiigh. I too feel as though the situation has always been worse than was reported. Even though this is listed as a 'setback', it puts us in a tough spot. Had we known about this prior to the trade deadline, I imagine we'd have a different back up now. I am not comfortable with the idea of Joey Mac as the back-up in the playoffs.

Sent my Dad a text about this during the Pens game. Kid just works, all the time. It's amazing to watch him exasperate our opponents when he gets rolling. His hands have improved drastically over the past season or so. It'd be great to see some more scoring upside; but I'm not complaining. I hope this kid continues to wear a Wings sweater for years to come.

Eaves and Draper likely stay. Mursak and Emmerton will compete to wear the Wheel. Ilari definitely stays in GR - despite being touted as one of the AHL's best. I think there's a strong possibility they bring Modano back at the right price. He's yet to really have the time to blend with the team, given his injury, and he's been pretty solid the last few games. Maybe I'm just noticing because it's Mo, but he's been fast and strong on the puck.

I'm all about Big Willie Rhymes. I can't imagine he wouldn't make the team. Having said that, Sizemore (along with Robbie Weinhardt and Clete Thomas) have been optioned to AAA Toledo. Guess that makes Rhymes a lock.

What a laughable list. If only for the fact that the Tigers are one of the few 'national' teams in that you'll see the Old English D anywhere in the country. It also has huge appeal with non-Tigers / non-baseball fans. I'm sure those people are snatching them up because of how ugly they are.

I wonder if we could get anything of real value for him. Doubt it. My Dad would be disappointed to see him go, but we're deep at the 2B spot as far as position players go and the only other spot he plays is short.

He is so clearly beyond hammered in that video. I don't even think I have an adjective to describe his condition. Also, I didn't expect the bottle of scotch to be the size of a wine bottle.

Agreed. The only team of the 3 to improve are the Red Sox, and while they did so drastically - the Rays (obviously) got worse and the Yankees just were just treading water this off-season. Granted, it's the Yankees - but all their stars are another year older, too. I also think the Orioles are going to surprise people, too. Showalter is instilling an attitude of winning in that clubhouse and hopefully they can keep up what they did last year under him (34-23). Derek Lee, JJ Hardy, Vlad Guerrero, and Mark Reynolds are all legitimate additions to this team. It would make me happy to see them do well.

One of the reasons we threw a ton of money at Benoit. Hopefully Joel takes his time and gets healthy. Additionally, I really hope we see Boesch make the team - he's had a solid enough Spring and he's definitely one of my favorite youngsters, too.

Was their radio guy as confused as Doc? I'm under the assumption that it may be the real call. These seem more well executed than last year's, but I really loved the music in last year's. Here's hoping that they do a better job on the 'immediate history' ads. They started throwing them together so quick they looked worse than most of the fan-made ones.
