Yeah, here's hoping Rick can live up to his potential at this point. That'll be a solid 1-3. I'm still worried about Coke making the move to the rotation, but I think Penny could surprise a lot of people.

I don't listen to the Ticket (I'm not on the right side of the state for that) but that's a quote directly from Jim Leyland.

I can't believe I typed 'Brendan' in my last post. I had to step away, but I saw the reply. What a bomb. More of those, please. I totally agree that Cabby could easily flirt with 50 home runs if he has proper protection and is in the same condition he was in last year. He's looking a little chubbier than usual this spring, but he's been known to drop poundage throughout Spring Training. I can't wait until he goes yard for the first time. I'm going to lose it. Great piece of hitting by Big Will.

Not surprising. Dude is made of chewing gum and sticks. I was hoping his beard would protect him against injury. I agree about Thomas for Raburn. If Boesch can return to early season form, that is a line up with a lot of pop. Here's hoping Brendan not only makes the team, but manages to hit the way he did until the All-Star Break. How great would it be to see him batting 6th or 7th again and pushing Inge's .2somthing average into the 9 spot? A lot better than GMoney's .004 BA from last year.

Today's line-up: 01. CF Jackson 02. 2B Rhymes 03. DH Ordonez 04. 1B Cabrera 05. C Martinez 06. SS Peralta 07. 3B Inge 08. LF Boesch 09. RF Thomas P Max Scherzer The game will be available on ESPN3.com

Raburn was a two-bagger away from the cycle yesterday. Tigers move to 5-0, while outscoring their opponents 23-6. Great Spring thus far. I'm really excited to actually catch a game on Thursday. I love Dave, but radio isn't quite cutting it.

Yeah, it's a little bit of a rock and a hard place for me. He's not the fastest guy in the world and his bat has power, but if he keeps his pace from last season he'll too good to bury in the 7 spot. If Sizemore can live up to this hype, I'll be thrilled - but I'm a skeptic. I'm all about Will Rhymes, though, that kid is all hustle. ESPN's MLB page has Tigers all over it right now, Baseball Tonight was in Lakeland yesterday and there are lots of videos up. Including an interview with Leyland where he says Verlander and Scherzer are as good as any 1-2 punch in baseball. I don't know that I agree with him, but Leyland doesn't say things just for the sake of it.

Zetterberg definitely gets the 'C' and Kronwall gets his 'A'. That's just the way it's going to be.

He complains like this to reporters, so I doubt he cares if there are non-NA TV cameras on him.

PBR is great whether you have money or not, especially on tap. Get that Natty Light out of here, though. Taking a couple of friends to Founder's on Saturday. I rarely go because I prefer other places in town, but I'm excited to see what they have on tap now. Maybe I'll fill my growler so I can enjoy flat beer on Sunday.

Sucks for the final score to be closer than it should have been, and for Jimmy's GAA to take the hit - but a win is a win and this was a dominant one.
-
Yeah, it's on ESPN3.com on Thursday, too. A friend of mine gave me an MLB Gameday Audio password, so I can listen to it on the radio while in class.

On the one side, he was chosen as Brendan Smith's replacement. On the other side, an AHL columnist was quoted as saying that he firmly believes Ilari is the best player in the Conference, possibly the whole AHL.

The Tigers and Major League Baseball are going to see him through a substance abuse program, probably similar to Josh Hamilton's most recent one. He will likely undergo counseling and treatment - and the Tigers organization has said that they are looking into the possibility of having a Hamilton-esque care taker with Cabby; of which Cabrera said he would do whatever it takes. From Major League Baseball: On a brighter note.. Here is today's Starting Line-Up for this afternoon's game against the Yankees: 01. CF Jackson 02. LF Raburn 03. RF Ordonez 04. DH Cabrera 05. 1B Martinez 06. SS Peralta 07. 3B Inge 08. 2B Sizemore 09. C Avila Verlander will take the mound. Anyone know where one might be able to catch this bad boy online?

This. Re-reading it, I suppose it was a little muddy; but I much prefer 3rds that are 'throwback' in nature than those of teams like the Coyotes, Senators, Lightning, etc.
-
I enjoy when a team like Buffalo whose thirds are classic - and much better - looking wear theirs against the Wings. Last night's game was visually pleasing.

He posted bail. He'll be arraigned in March. He's also at Tigers camp. He'll be addressing the media at 4:30 PM EST.

Why blow-up a team that's so close? It's not like they've been close for years, they just got back to relevance.

2011 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - February 28th, 3:00 PM ET
Travis replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
This deal will likely prove to be as successful as the Ponikarovsky move. -
I know there's been a lot of talk about Modano coming back either Thursday or Saturday, but this is the first concrete thing I've seen. Per NHL.com
-
Valtteri will be out Thursday as well. He's marked his return for Saturday and news sources are saying the Wings will likely recall a forward from Grand Rapids. Ilari?!
-
Yeah they mentioned it the other night, too. Given the time he's missed they said something about him wanting to have the 'full experience' or something of the sort.

Creepy.
