I was just looking through the Guardian Project this weekend with a friend of mine, laughing at how silly these have been. The super heroes are generally re-hashed X-Men and Marvel characters that are Frankenstiened together to create little more than a mess, really. I also agree that they all have way too many super powers, especially because a lot of them have the same super powers. I think the Red Wing is pretty underwhelming, but I guess it could be worse.

It'd be nice to see the Predators find a way to combine their color scheme with the more classic layout of the 3rd jerseys. I never realized they had those stupid ass checkers on them, though. I wouldn't mind seeing the Kings going back to the original black and silver style with a little purple added in to reference their original scheme. Get rid of that damned, 'LOS ANGELES' across the junk, though. I really like the Sabres 40th throwbacks, so that's cool that they'll stick around. I wouldn't mind the Wings using the Winter Classic or the 75th Anniversary jerseys as 3rds, but I'd much rather see none than see anything close to what some of these other teams go through on a yearly basis.

Lebrun, Dreger and a slew of others have already squashed that idea. They said he's angry that he won't be involved because of his concussion, but also noted that last time he was hurt and couldn't play - he still showed up. Don't get me wrong, I am by no means a Crosby fan - but this seems like a stretch. He does enough douchey stuff already without having to make up new things.

I'm excited for the game now, too. Maybe I'll even look into getting a Lids ASG jersey, as it could very well be his last and is a cool honor.

Whenever I read things like these I'm really happy that the Wings aren't like these other teams. I honestly like the simplicity of Dallas' current jerseys and I've long thought the giant star pattern on their sweaters was ugly as sin.

The Detroit Athletic Company is a legit website. I ordered a Helm player shirt from them for my Dad's Christmas present. They're located in Detroit near old Tiger Stadium's ashes.

I would email them and ask to see photos of the actual jerseys they have on hand.

Well, the aforementioned Craigslist score I thought I made turned out to be a bust. Sometimes too good to be true is just that. The jersey is completely legit - 2008 Reebok Lidstrom Home jersey. I got kind of swindled in that the jersey is really heavily used and wasn't taken good care of. It's definitely not going to work for me, but maybe someone who wants a beater jersey for pond hockey or something will be into it. I'll probably post it in the Tradin' Post later - I don't expect to make any profit on it, just want to make my money back.

I think Eklund is just stringing together pieces. LeBrun said via Twitter that it was a possibility that the Wings asked the NHL not to add Zetterberg to the team. Shanahan said, on his own Twitter, that some teams did ask the NHL to leave certain players off the roster. edit: And so what if they did? Most Wings fans seem to want the rest, and I doubt Zetterberg has tons of 'casual' fans because he isn't marketed in that way. He's not competing in the Skills contest even if he is there - so really you're missing about 10 - 14 minutes of ice time from Henrik Zetterberg for the entire weekend.

I recoiled in horror when I saw Tatar wearing 21, especially when his Griffins number is available.

I'm with mmamolo on Kindl. There has been far too much time invested in him to give up on him after a fistful of games at the NHL level, especially because of the strong presence he brings to the Griffins blue line. It leads me to believe he has true NHL potential.

Same here. I don't have any real feeling towards either team, but I thought 24/7 was great television. I'd love to see the Wings do one. The Season on ESPN was great, and it was a much more surface experience than 24/7, I thought.
