It's encourage to see him say that he wants to be back around the Joe as soon as possible and to read the positive things he said about the team boosting his morale. I feel like that's something he missed in Dallas and much less concerned about him being bummed about this than those who are comparing it to his 'moods'.

Anyone else listening on the radio? Did the crowd take the silence right before the Star Spangled Banner to shout 'Hey Detroit, you suck!' or am I hearing things?
-
$124 for the 'replica' (w/o fight strap). If you buy one from the Zone at the Van Andel, it comes with 2 free tickets.

If Scherzer can maintain his numbers from last year then he and Verlander will make a solid enough 1-2 punch. Porcello needs to step it up. This year is make or break for him. Coke will move from the 'pen to the 4th slot, and Armando will almost assuredly take the fifth spot - but he's gotta be more consistent. Like Ryan said above me, they won't get Dunn and there's no way they land Crawford. If only for the fact that they don't need a LF, but largely due to the fact that they won't outbid the Yankees / Red Sox / Angels.

To that end, though, you would see many more unique jerseys if the home teams wore white. The way it stands now, every game is Red vs. White as opposed to White vs. Blue, Black, Green, etc. I really disliked the Bluejackets jerseys in the announcement photos, but I like them on the ice. I don't mind them using blue being that its tied into their name / a long standing color.

Cool little piece. Surprising to me that his most painful memory is that of losing to Anaheim in '07 and not Pittsburgh in '09. I guess it makes sense, being that he hadn't won a cup yet, though. Quite the nod to Hjalmarsson, too.

Haha, thanks! In all honesty, my first post should say Miller, Eaves, and Hudler. I have no idea why I said Abby and Helm.
-
Well Draper returns next week-ish, so bringing up iFlip would just throw us into a deeper rotation. For the time being, the Modano injury actually gives Helm, Abby, and Hudler chances to play full time. Still, it sucks ridiculously bad to see Modo suffer an injury like this.

I'm well aware of that. I try to attend as many Griffins games as I can. The point I was making to mindfly was that, despite the grit they showed here, I wouldn't want the Wings to replicate anything about the way the Griffs have been playing. Something needs to change in Grand Rapids, they're playing uninspired hockey.
-
I feel like the difference between the two is a thin line, but relates to being a product of play. Homer, for example, is camped in front with the intent of deflecting a puck. Don't get me wrong, obstructing the goalie's view is definitely helpful - it's not his sole intent but more so a product of what he's trying to do. In the instance of the Avery rule, in this case Pronger, his only purpose is to block the goalie's view. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it boils down to intentional vs. incidental.
-
I feel like, if anything, this just illustrates the fact that the rule needs to change that wording. The 'Avery-intent' is there, he's just not facing him.
-
Didn't Greg Amadio get the whole thing started off? I'd consider him the toughest guy on the team. I'd much rather have the Red Wings be a successful unit than brawl like the Griffins. It's nice to see the grit, but on-ice battling aside, a huge reason for this brawl is the fact that the Griffins are a frustrated hockey team.
-
Maybe they weren't happy playing in the afternoon? Haven't seen the Marlies yet this year, but the Griffins are playing really uninspired hockey. They've lost almost all of their home games and were blown out when I saw them last Friday.

Minnesota Wild claim Patrick O'Sullivan off waivers

Best goal of his career.

I really don't see the Tigers pursuing Crawford. MLB Network has them pegged to go after Dunn or Werth, but I'd rather re-sign Magglio than either of them. Right now we're looking at: 1. CF Jackson 2. 2B Rhymes 3. RF Boesch 4. 1B Cabrera 5. C Martinez 6. DH Guillen 7. LF Raburn 8. SS Peralta 9. 3B Inge If Maggs comes back then you gotta think its: 1. CF Jackson 2. 2B Rhymes 3. RF Ordonez 4. 1B Cabrera 5. C Martinez 6. LF Boesch 7. DH Guillen 8. SS Peralta 9. 3B Inge With Guillen playing 2B on days that Martinez DHs and Avila catching. At that point, though, it might be up in the air as far as who hits out of that second slot. Werth is just as, or more suspect than, Magglio in right. Especially in Comerica. He has a better arm, but will demand more money and is streaky. Dunn can't do anything but DH and - given Guillen's injury problems and the fact that Avila will now be the defensive catcher - we don't need a pure DH.

A-CHOCOLATE MOOSE But yeah.. It's Huds.

NO ZETTERBERG?! GRGAEGUEGHAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH Keith and Lids would be a great pairing, but who knows if they'll even wind up on the same team.
-
Yeah, for sure. I suppose I should've phrased that better. I heard somewhere that their 'roast beef' is actually some dehydrated imitation. Could have easily been an exaggeration or hearsay, though.

They make most of their profit on soda, I believe. Either way, though, I would imagine the Curly Fries are cheaper. I don't eat meat and have never redeemed one of those vouchers for anything be it Curly Fry or other; but I did notice they changed the promotion.
-
We're gonna blow the lid off of these curly fries emails! ..Oh wait.
