Honestly, I don't really either. They didn't go through us last year, so it's not like they got the better of us. Plus, I still have a man crush on Hossa - so.. you know. To be perfectly honest, I'm much more of a Red Wings fan than a hockey fan. The only sports channels I even get are ESPN and FSN, so I never see games that the Wings aren't playing in any respect for other teams is based on what random games I do see, random players that I respect, or my admiration of their jerseys. Since I'm an art nerd.

By and large, hate em.

Tomorrow afternoon's headline: Marc Staal suspended for 2 games.
-
He'll be calling in during the program, no word on when exactly - but I thought it was a worthy link to share. http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=616&id=83004&intcmpid=det%3Adl%3Anhllive%3A112210

Somewhere, Brad May is throwing his remote.

Meech has been a real class act throughout this whole process. Hopefully he can be rewarded with a spot on the Wings or on some NHL club. He's gotta get the unnecessary penalties under control a little more, though.

Campbell calls (likely Savard) "Fake Artist" in email

This gets more unreal by the day. -
Great effort on the part of Atlanta's No. 8, but I think it can be noted that Babcock would also Death Stare one of our own if a Wing were to celebrate a goal when up by 5 like that. I know the kid is just excited and happy with himself for pulling off such a beautiful goal - but I could never see a Red Wing celebrating like that in that same situation. A lot of sporting teams / events use that. I think it's more indicative of European Soccer, personally. The Griffins use it, too.

They looked really uninspired last night. They seem to play much better hockey on the road.

Apparently Malts was at tonight's Griffins game. Wish I could have said hello.
-
What the cameras couldn't pick up is that the puck was actually Stephane Robidas.
-
Not like we're very deep into the season, but that's gotta be the hit of the year. Remember the '08 playoffs when Robidas had to wear a Robocop helmet because he had his nose broken 38 times? Dude is tough as nails.

Amway announced today its partnership with the Griffins wherein the Griffs will wear Amway patches on both their home and road unis.

2 games for Ritola, reported by Erik Erlendsson.

Darren Dreger is reporting that Mattias will have a disciplinary hearing for his hit on Matt Moulson. The video can be seen HERE around the :17 second mark

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you - Brett Lebda in all his glory: http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?hlg=20102011,2,254&event=TOR228

Not terribly surprising. Glad it's a local company, at least. The Griffins sport jerseys with advertising in games, so I'm not shocked.

You'll be able to check the standings after the 1st week.

I love these "Bruins Rules" commercials, and I just heard about this girl who vandalized a pillar in a bathroom at the Garden. I guess she's offered to pay for the damages and the Bruins call it a 'closed matter'. This video shows both the video she posted and the commercial the Bruins rolled out in response: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiI0mqCZMY8

What do you think the odds are that we could rally together as Red Wings trolls and get someone like Patty Eaves in on this?
-
Not sure how long the balloting is open. Pierre LeBrun said on his Twitter that he will cover the All-Star Game in his underwear if Lidstrom isn't named one of the captains.

Same line-up over here.

Exactly. Are we supposed to believe that this is what passes for professionalism in the sports world? I've had more professional conversations in a bar at 2AM. -
In addition to the 100 listed, you can also write-in any player you want at their given position.
