Yeah, no one can argue the fact that Shanny was the final piece to the puzzle. I remember, even at a young age, realizing that Primeau was a ******. Like I've said before, I also harbored resentment towards him because Paul Coffey was my favorite Wing at the time and I blamed Primeau for his exit. Having said that, I've long since forgiven Primeau because he's floundered in douchiness and that trade brought to Detroit my favorite Red Wing of all time. On the subject of the Bourque trade, I'm glad we didn't do it. It would've been cool at the time, but losing Draper and what turned out to be Kronwall for it wouldn't have been worth the one night stand. We lost to the Kings in the 1st round of the '01 playoffs, does the addition of Bourque honestly get us any further?

Give me more credit than that. I tried to find some photos, but no dice. They did a little piece on the new mask and the artist (Ray Bishop) who makes them. It's a mirrored design like last season featuring a red '67 Shelby Mustang with two fat stripes on it, and the Detroit skyline in the back. The helmet has matching stripes running down the center and the standard old English D on the chin. The D is surrounded by the retired numbers this time.

Truer words have never been spoken. I rocked a mustache for Halloween, but didn't realize this Movember thing was going on. I fully support it, but will not be joining in. I do my cancer awareness part in other ways. I've had a rubber breast cancer bracelet on my wrist for 5 years and even have a pink / purple ribbon incorporated into a tattoo. I'd love to see a couple of the Wings join in. Franzen rocked a mustache last year, hopefully this year he does it with some force.

f*** Cancer. There's nothing I despise more in this entire world than Cancer. Both my parents are survivors and someday your brother will join their ranks. Classy move by the organization, it only furthers my love and respect for this team and the people involved with it. The important thing is that it made your brother happy and has lifted his spirits.
