The piping up the side is even uglier than their asymmetric striping on the current jerseys. I don't mind the D or the shoulders, though. The jersey still sucks, but it's a step in the right direction for them.

There's nothing wrong with playing roller hockey, but there's are reasons that it isn't televised anymore.

Even though I don't like Primeau and - as a youngster - blamed him for Paul Coffey leaving town, I am grateful for the trade that brought Shanny to the Wings. Definitely my favorite Red Wing of all-time. I'd like to have Versteeg, too.

The only person on that list I've missed at all is Samuelsson, and he seemed pretty intent on leaving. It does say a lot about the Wings' organization, though. A lot of other teams would really be kicking themselves for losing out on those guys, but the Wings are so deep that it's simply not a big deal.

I always wanted to see Rob Blake in the Winged Wheel. Like a lot of other people have already said, I'd like to see Ryan Miller, Kesler, Bobby Ryan, and Hossa still on the team. There are others, but it's 8:16. I'll remember them later. Duncan Keith would be awesome, too.

The answer to your question is yes. I don't know if that's an actual quote or just from the movie Miracle, though. I'm happy with the team we have now, but I imagine your comparison to the 2002 team is hyperbole. That may have been, for all intents and purposes, the best hockey team ever assembled. The 2010 Red Wings are nothing like the 2002 Wings.

I'm definitely higher on Kindl than I am Ericsson. There's just nothing I appreciate about Ericsson's game. I wouldn't be at all opposed to see Stuart or Salei pair with him once Raffi's back.
