Adam Burish: Chris Pronger Is The Biggest Idiot In The League
Travis replied to jeff48109's topic in General
I don't think there's anyone here who is disputing the fact that he's a hell of a defenseman. It very well could be a Chelios-type situation in many cases where he would look completely different in red and white; but it doesn't really distract from the fact that he's an asshat. -
After finally seeing his personality during the post-game interview and now watching the parade, I've decided that Kane is - in all likelihood - white trash. From the way he immediately started 'shouting out' to his friends in his interview with Pierre, to the fact that he jokingly called his cousin 'famous' but refused interview questions after someone brought up taxi cabs (the whole reason his dude-bro cousin is 'famous') right down to these Crocs. Now I'm watching him try to act ghetto on top of a bus.

I could see the Lightning rolling the dice on Price. Not too sure where Thomas would fit in, but he's a great guy so that might earn him some points. We can agree that Huet is dead weight, though, right?

I'm definitely excited for July 1. I know that the aforementioned goalies will be on the block, but who is going to take them? Thomas, Price, and Huet are all over-priced. I just can't see them actually getting moved based on what they're getting paid for how they've performed lately. Having said that, I guess a change of scenery can be nice (see: some Finnish dude) and there are always GM's out there who are ready to make stupid moves.

Phil Esposito showed Roenick little mercy on NHL PowerPlay yesterday. He said that it simply wasn't the time for him to do that. Not sure how he could avoid being swept up in emotion, but I guess you have to as a professional.

Adam Burish: Chris Pronger Is The Biggest Idiot In The League

More power to Burish. I was totally with him until he said he might punch his face. Let's not say things we don't mean, boys. -
I don't feel threatened by the 'Hawks or their fans. At this point, they know they haven't done anything to dethrone us.

I was dumbfounded when he started to cry. Nice human moment, even if he is a huge ******.

I wore mine to class the day the playoffs started, other than that I just wear them around the house during games. Grabbed a blank one offline a couple of months ago and will probably put Kronner's name/number on it which will probably result in me wearing it to a couple of Griffs games.

Dave Bolland and Jonathan Toews? I maintain that he just put to much pressure on himself last year. Aside from the fact that he was playing injured, it has to get in your head that you're playing your former team. All the, 'did you make the right decision?' questions out there have to play with your psyche. Regardless, the 'curse' is now over. I was really happy to see Hossa be the first person Toews sought out.

Great D-man. Hated his guts at times, but would have loved to see him in a winged wheel. Owen Nolan will be named captain.

The truly amazing part is that it was White Sox fans.

Yeah, it's here: http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65511 Funny song, though.

I want the Hawks to win pretty much solely for Hossa. In all honesty, I think that the Flyers are the favorites for tonight's game. They're a different beast at the Wachovia.
-
The dark red 'Hawks and orange Flyers shirts are all right. I wish the NHL would hire better designers.
-
It'd be nice to see him up with the club for a couple of games mid-season to get a gauge on him, but I don't really expect to see him with the Wings much more than that.
-
If I'm the Blackhawks, I'm not stoked.
-
I love that their GM simply calls him, 'the American' in the article.
-
Pronger. He's a ******, but still a hell of a defenseman. Carcillo takes way too many bad penalties.
-
Yeah, everything I've heard and read points to Volchenkov getting way more than we could possibly offer him.

Good!
