The Bruins can not catch a break.

Yeah, I've gotta say - the inclusion of Ericsson in the line-up has been a head scratcher for me. I thought that Lilja's stay at home style paired really well with Lebda's speed and overall lack of defense. It was sort of like Lilja was Lebda's safety net. Not sure what they think they're gaining by leaving Ericsson in the line-up.

..While I agree with you to a point, you're sorting of calling the kettle black there, aren't you? Now, having said that - you're probably joking.

amiright? So bad.

Gotta go with the majority here and say Chicago / Pittsburgh. The young, defending Champs against the high-powered, exciting 'Hawks. IF this is the Final, I don't see how the 'Hawks don't take it.

They knew what they were up against. I read somewhere that after their last Eastern Conference Finals loss, Rasheed Wallace was quoted as saying, "that's it" as far as that line-up went. From what I understand, Chauncey was ready to move on, too. Could've done a lot better than AI, though.

Maybe he wasn't on a couple of weeks ago because he says stuff like, "as a Detroit fan.. that sucks right now."

I wish I was going so I could join you.

Phillies fans themselves are the reason for the poll.

The guys who were hurt aren't well-rested, necessarily. I'd be amazed if anyone who sat out with a major injury (i.e. Franzen) was 100%.

Out of that list I gotta say Red Sox. Cowboys' fans are perennial favorites, but I've grown so sick of the Red Sox. Especially their idea that they are the 'anti-Yankees' when in all actuality - they run their team the exact same way.
-
I don't know why you'd say something like that.

Wouldn't it be the the cherry on top of the Sharks' 2nd round woes to give up a 3-0 lead?

I could never see Ken Holland doing that. One thing to keep in mind, too, is that the Pistons made it to the Eastern Conference Finals six times and only had one NBA title to show for it. The biggest knock against them was that they were one piece away from having a Championship team and after multiple attempts to find that piece, Dumars (who is far from being Kenny) decided to blow it up. A lot of the Pistons situation had to do with frustration, disappointment, and - to be fair - Chauncey being ready to move on. He was mailing it in toward the end of his time in Detroit, and proceeded to go off as soon as he landed in Denver. Short story long, Kenny is smarter than that and I really don't see this team getting dismantled. Especially because of all the injuries we've had. He'll make some moves that no one sees coming and do whatever he does to keep us cap-compliant. I know his hands were really tied last off-season and that we're in a similar place, but I fully expect him to add a couple of pieces to this team. Not blow it up.

I think that it's a very real possibility that this team is gassed. After a season full of injuries and an amazing run to the 5th seed, they could simply be running on empty. Obviously, going down 3-0 is really disappointing, but they've definitely given us an exciting season to this point - even if it hasn't always been what we were hoping for. Hard to foresee them climbing out of this series hole with the way these three games have gone, but crazier things have happened. I won't consider this season over until the Sharks beat us one more time. We can all agree that they'll have to play better to keep that from happening, but that's not really the point I'm after. The best thing sports can do is to give you something to root for and follow. Something to help keep your mind off of whatever stupid s*** might be happening personally. Much like the Tigers lost in 'Game 163' last year, the prospect of getting bumped from the playoffs is always disappointing for us Wings fans simply because of the level of success they've garnered over the past 20 years. Just like those Tigers, though, the Wings gave us something to root for throughout the season. It's had it's ups and downs, but you can't argue that it hasn't been exciting - especially over the past couple of months.

It's gonna be Howard. From what little Griffs experience I have, I've seen the McCollum there yet.
-
I would love to know where this is.
-
I respect their fan base, especially after dealing with the up-start Coyotes fans that have followed hockey for 2 1/2 weeks. Setoguchi is really the only one that drives me nuts, not just because of powerplay opportunities - but because I can't respect a guy that flops all over the ice.
-
Howard actually broke Lidstrom's stick and is obviously the reason we lost. Get a grip.
-
I wish we would've 'made short work of the Sharks at the tank'.

Well this brings up an interesting point. What is the criteria? Do you have to stellar numbers, or do Cups take care of that? How much weight do you give to what he brought to the team? More than stats?
-
Haha, not they didn't. Go here and take a look at the headline. Compare it to the image you posted. ESPN doesn't use quotes, or that font, and the font they do use isn't anti-aliased. If you give it enough of an eye, you'll see that it's definitely edited.
