I always have a beard, because I am a man. I started growing it out as a, 'let's get in' beard. I will now trim it and let it grow again for the playoffs.

I thought Lashoff played real physical. He didn't fight, but he definitely laid out a couple nice hits. Ferraro didn't seem blazingly fast, but to be fair - the Griffins were owning the Monsters in every since of the word. He just might not have stood out in such a beat down.

I like this idea, I wouldn't mind getting in on the action.

My thoughts, exactly. I noticed him out there a few times and tried to keep my eye on him specifically. Like you said, he didn't do anything wrong by any means, but I got a little bit of the kid-playing-with-the-big-boys feeling. He'll definitely be a solid young player when his time comes. Lashoff looked great Friday. Obviously everyone looked good because it was a complete beatdown, but Lashoff was all over the ice and looked really sound. I thought he attacked the boards well and battled hard - which is easier said than done when you can rest on a 4 goal lead. Like I said before, I wish the Griffs played that hard every other time I saw them this year.

We can all agree that what the Senators need to do is find a way to obtain Evander Kane some point within the next 4 days. Make it happen, Bryan!

Yeah, I'm not sold on May-over-Draper, either. I'd definitely take an Abby-Draper-Miller line, though. With Miller taking more faceoffs it gives us two guys who can take the draw, which Babcock loves.

This is exactly what I thought about as soon as I saw the other vid, too. This one might not be the best of the year, but dammit if it isn't fun to watch.

Ferraro looked good last night, but like he could use some more time. He handled himself well, but I think another year wouldn't be a bad thing. Granted, that was based off of one game - but just what I saw.

So awesome. Eff Matt Cooke.

I agree with everything that's been said (how could you not?). It's amazing to reach 100 points when we weren't sure of anything a few months ago. It's even more amazing when you look back at seasons past and see that we're only about 6 wins away from the same point totals we've had in much less trying years.

I caught two games this week (my first with May in the line-up) and they look like a different team from the one I saw so many other times this season. Outscoring the Americans and the Monsters by a combined score of 12-4 and just completing shutting down both teams. Nothing to sneeze at when you consider that both of them are potentially playoff teams, though I know the Monsters are on the bubble. If the Griffs put on an effort like they did this week more often, they'd be a scary team for anyone to take on.

Everyone looked pretty darn good last night.

It should be said that I also have a soft spot for anyone who wore one of these:

I dunno if Brooks Laich is really flying under the radar at this point. Not that it really matters. For whatever reason, I like Marc Savard. Oh, and this guy.

Those were all from before the hack, no?

Just ran across this on ESPN.com: http://espn.go.com/nhl/notebook/_/page/buccigross_100406/my-case-detroit-10-years-worth

Has anyone seen a video of his shootout winner? I wasn't able to find one.

My apologies, but I was speaking from a roster-spot stand point.

I was honestly just thinking about a similar tattoo to your #1, haha. So that is my vote. Also, #2 is going to be really hard to pull off unless you're getting it really big. Getting all the cup years on the Stanley Cup itself won't work if it's small - over time all the numbers will just bleed into blobs unless the whole thing is fairly sizeable. Not only is #1 a better idea in my opinion, but it's a lot more feasible. Your best bet is to choose a tattoo artist and consult with them about what you want to get - have them draw it up and help you make any relevant decisions about it.

So many hockey fans (myself included) automatically associate the Stars organization with Modano. It would suit them well to retire his number as soon as they possibly can. Great show of respect to let the fans do their thing, too.

There's no point in bringing up a Griffin without any playoff experience when we have others who do. I know the argument is that we won't know how well they can produce until we see them, but I'm perfectly fine with May and Abby coming up. I must say, I wasn't a huge fan of the May signing this Fall but it's funny how your perspective changes when someone dons the appropriate sweater. I never realized how solid of a dude he was. They even did an intermission interview with him Wednesday at Van Andel and he was pure class, complimenting the city and the organization, etc.

It still boggles my mind that those early-2000's Sens teams could never finish a Cup run.

By Keating, you mean Clayton - right?

It's not a jab at Kronner. He's on our second pairing, right?
