This sums things up nicely. *puts on Hossa jersey*

For whatever reason I've never been able to stand the Rangers. I like Danny Briere, so I guess I'll take the Flyers?
-
I always hated him because he generally performed well against us, but I've got nothing against him. Played with grit, etc. etc.
-
I think that's the general consensus 'round these parts. He can, and has, made some nice plays. They're just so few and far between that no one really cares at this point.
-
Exactly. I remember getting to stay up waayy too late on a school night for that game and going crazy when Stevie scored.

I love Hossa and I'll wholly admit that he blew it in the Finals, being injured and putting way too much pressure on himself to score - he cracked. Kudos to Seabrook protecting their investment. Good to see him back at it. He didn't jump ship to Pittsburgh, Atlanta - in true Atlanta form - traded him off at the deadline. He got shipped out of Ottawa the day he re-signed with them in the Heatley trade, you'll have to forgive the man if he turned into a bit of a mercenary. I'm sure you were so upset when he came to Detroit. I can hear you now saying, 'Oh, he jumped ship! How dare he come here, he doesn't deserve a Cup!' I think we can all agree that signs pointed to him wanting to stay here, we just couldn't reach an agreement.

Abby looked really good last night. Then again, everyone looked good since they pounded the hell out of the Americans.
-
Don't forget Hossa! Being that my background is THIS, I felt that I had to go with Drew.
-
That I can definitely agree with. It goes without saying that the NHL's criteria for suspension is completely screwed.
-
But everyone here looooves Colby Armstrong. You're arguing the wrong side of things. Looks like a cheap shot to me, obviously it didn't do much damage - throwing a fist out is less than honorable, so to speak.

Did anyone else read the blog that follows? Classy.

Agreed. It might even be a different story if it looked as if he was looking toward it, or striving for it. With his back to it it looks as if they already won it.
-
I agree with this, big time.
-
That might prove difficult.

Happy Birthday, Gordie! I will don the hat Dad got autographed, elbow someone, check someone through a door, fight someone, and find some way to score a goal in your honor.

Maybe I'm a Stevie fanboy, but I can't imagine not putting him at the top of the list. The Captain, the Cups, the face of this organization for his entire career - how is this stuff not worthy of a #1 spot? Aside from that, these lists are so subjective that you couldn't possibly claim someone has to be a Stevie Y fanboy to list him at #1. There hasn't even been a criteria established as to what it is we're basing this on. 1. Yzerman 2. Lidstrom 3. Shanahan 4. Federov 5. Zetterberg 6. Datsyuk 7. Osgood 8. Holmstrom 9. Draper 10. Chelios

Yeah, as far as I knew, the Wonder Dog had an out for his second year.
