Perhaps you didn't understand the full gist of the OP's post. Physical fatigue leads to both mental AND physical mistakes. These mistakes are occuring BECAUSE the Wings are tired. It's really not that difficult to understand.

You're wearing rose colored glasses if you honestly think that the Wings can lose Game 5, at home, against a Team who just took them to SCHOOL, while giving the same "Yeah...sure....you can put it in there. Nah....don't bother with the lubricant....." effort, and come even close to SNIFFING a chance to get it back HOME for a Game 7, let alone WIN it. THEY WERE AWFUL They were TERRIBLE in Game 3. They were BAD in Games 1 and 2. Noticing a pattern?

Think again.... They WERE AWFUL. Make no mistake about it. The ******* Florida Panthers don't turn the puck over that frequently, or that egregiously. The New York Islanders are not that bad, defensively. This was not just a bad Defensive game for the Detroit Red Wings. This was a TERRIBLE Defensive game for ANY NHL Team. And the worst of it is.... MOST of the stupid s*** was UNFORCED, where they were just GIVING it away.

And I think they're right, and you're wrong. The Wings are coming off of their worst Defensive season in a long, LONG time. They were lazy, sloppy and undisciplined all Season long, and won more than a few games they had no business winning. The lollygagged into the Play Offs with a crappy close to the Season. They're injured. They're tire. And they look like they just want to go home and rest. With OR without the Cup. The Scumguins look like they're willing to do ANYTHING to Win it.

Because this is the Stanley Cup Finals, and they are the Defending Stanley Cup Champions, and they had EVERY opportunity to take a 3-1 lead and close this ***** out at HOME, in front of their fans. This WAS a "must-Win" Game. They failed to show up. No two ways about it. THEY FAILED TO SHOW UP Just like the R1 against the Kings in 2001, where they took a 2-0 and got ***** SLAPPED in losing the next 4 straight. Eerily similar feel to this Series.

Without a doubt, the level of suckage the Wings have displayed on the road in this Series so far exceeds the level of suckage displayed by the Pensy's at the Joe, that it's not even a contest.

Get Oz outta there. This Game, and this Series, is over. They've got NOTHING. And all you optimists can scream and cry all you want about "supporting your Team." This is PATHETIC!

We haven't had "our game" all Series. Hell....haven't had it for the entire Play Offs. Only difference is that now we're fighting off the Officiating AND a Team that can score.

Game over. Series over.

These are not the Detroit Red Wings. And it's looking more and more like this Series is over.

Ya know....with all due respect.... If the Wings were to get HALF the calls they deserved, the Pens would be spending TONS of time on the PK, where neither Cindy NOR Genny play. At all.

BUT.... Those things, NONE of them, ARE applied to the Pens. Moral victories are gonna Win the Cup. And the Wings look bad out there. I would never have guessed it in a million years. Not this year. Not this Team. But there it is.

What the HELL are you talking about? It's the WINGS who are lucky that it's tied. They've been turning the puck over, and over, and OVER. Constantly. If I didn't know any better, I might say that Kronwall has major money on Pittsburgh.

The difference this year is that the Wings are tired, banged up, and short-handed.
