No, 16... I knew EXACTLY what "those guys" knew. i.e. That they were going to have to do WHATEVER IT TOOK to get Osgood back on top of his Game, because he was the ONLY TRULY VIABLE OPTION in net for the Wings this Post Season. YOU, (and many others), are the one(s) who "knew better", claiming that rather than "wasting time" on Osgood, Babs should have just handed the reins over to Conklin. Their extreme measures worked. Osgood pulled his head out of his rear, as a FEW of us here maintained he would, and has been one of the Wings most consistent contributors this Post Season. Had you, (and many others here), gotten their way.... Conklin would have been in nets for the Wings, and the Jax would've extended their 1st Round Series, and the Ducks probably would've taken them out in 5 or 6 Games. The Wings have now given up at least one PPG in THIRTEEN STRAIGHT Play Off games. That's an NHL record, 16. And against much LESS offensively talented Teams. You figure it out. "From time to time" wouldn't bother me. "Consistently" bothers me. And it has been "consistently".

Regular Season is not the Play Offs, 16. And your "gut feeling" was dead wrong. As for the other? Again, you're seeing something I'm not. The Hawks PP isn't very good. They've just had the benefit of facing off against the Flames, and then the Canucks. Having said that.... I've seen the Wings, in ALL THREE GAMES thus far in this Series, get trapped in their own zone, for extended periods of time, unable to KEEP possession, unable to clear the zone, and skating around like the Keystone Kops..... Both on the PK AND at even strength. The Wings better wake up. And quickly.

Unfortunately, the Hawks appear to be playing like every shift could be their last. They've been balls to the wall, shift after shift, from the drop of the puck, every game. And that INCLUDES the 4:23 span last night when the Wings scored three goals. The Wings have failed to show up in a first period UNTIL they were down by a goal. Sometimes more. And it's not just this Series. It's all Post Season long. Again, the Hawks are playing desperate, desperate hockey. The Wings aren't. You know, as well as I do, that the "best" Team does NOT always Win.

LOL.... And the Canes are former Cup Winners, too. And meanwhile, the Wings have been taken right down to the wire in the last two Games by a bunch of KIDS. I hope they're watching this Game today. And I hope they're downright embarrassed. Maybe that'll get them to show up for Game 4 for the full 60 minutes.

I obviously haven't been watching the same games that you've been watching. I've noted a decide LACK OF ABILITY TO CLEAR THE ZONE, despite NUMEROUS opportunities, while both shorthanded, AND at even strength.

Ditto. They are seriously banged up right now. Hopefully they'll be okay.

Tell you what.... IF the Wings advance, (and that's no guarantee with the way they've been (not)starting games all Post Season long), and IF the Pens advance, the Wings will be SHREDDED by the Pens PP. Especially without Datsyuk and Draper. (And yes....I'm assuming that Dats has a broken foot, and could be "done", as I'm thinking worst case scenario....).

While Dats isn't scoring, he's definitely contributing defensively. And I think folks are underestimating the importance of having Draper in the line-up when it comes to face offs, defensive play, AND veteran experience and composure. The Wings were pretty brutal in the face-off circle last night. Drapes was the only Wing at >50%. That's a problem. Especially since Draper was more effective in the DZ than he was anywhere else, and more effective in the DZ than any other Wing. The Wings are banged up. Has no one else noticed that Franzen is hurting? He's been hurting since Game 7 against the Ducks, and took another shot in Game 1 against Chicago.

Not much to be "done" with Hossa. Just have to hope, I suppose. Giving him more minutes hasn't helped. I don't see how giving him less minutes will be any more effective. Dropping him down to the 3rd line messes up a good thing the current 3rd linemates have. Benching him will do NO good. Again.....just have to hope.

I hope the boys are PISSED! GOOD and pissed! This game was handed to Chicago, and they STILL barely pulled it off. We were without Dats, AND Kronner. AND what about Khabi? What's the story on him? I hope they come out on Sunday and KILL THEM!
